both coins are profitable and potential coin to hold for a long term,though the crypto market is volatile,ethereum is the leading altcoin and waves has great potential to rise high in value.

I hold both of them but I do not think that Waves is the next Ethereum. My hopes are connected with ETH more as I think that this altcoin has the better potential. Meanwhile, it is up to you which of the alts is to pick.

Of course Ethereum is much better, more loyal, more popular and more stable than most other tokens. Personally, I believe in bitcoin, if bitcoin fails, then go to Ethereum. The rest are even scared to go.

I think I still go to ethereum. Ethereum is doing good for the past few years. It is also labeled as second to bitcoin.because of the outstanding performance of ethereum in cryptocurrency world.
