Both good coins. Ethereum's place after bitcoin at Coinmarketcap. ETH user community is big, and much developer.
But in my opinion you can invest both.

Cryptocurrency is so volatile, its only depend of people interest. If many people are intersest in waves, its demand will grow up, then people will competing for make higher buy order in exchange, then the price up.

Waves and Ethereum are potentials e-currencies in the cryptographic market. But Ethereum is still a stronger currency in terms of technology, community, values and popularity...
Indeed, if we try to compare it between ethereum and waves of course ethereum is far superior,
but we also don't underestimate the waves themselves because it could be that in the future waves can rise drastically

Not to take anything away from wave it is a coin that is coming up the ranks but it can't match ethereum because ETH is the second coin in the crypto world and it has gotten a standard acceptance and it's value is better than wave

As the Etherium goes as its worse this year, Waves is also going down but the popularity of Etherium is still there, it's a matter of time only when the etherium will gain its momentum. I don't see where waves can overcome Etherium popularity. If you go to their site you can only see a few coins who are listed on their sites.

I will have to go with wave,  because it's much more easier to accumulate more units of wave token than Ethereum,  considering the fact that it's still cheaper as compared to Ethereum,  also it has a strong team and I believe that more marketing of the token I'd be soon

I was very fortunate that I did not invest in Waves, although I was going to. Now I watch how they fell in price and I'm very glad that I bet on Ethereum.

I would still bet on Eth only as it is the tested platform with so many transactions done on its platform till now.

Does any one thinks that Ethereum can survive with the rising of Waves? I've heard that "Waves will be the next Ethereum"

These waves are unstable, and now the price tends to fall. and waves are less developed altcoins. I think bitcoin is still much better than waves. too far comparing waves and bitcoin.

If you think I am actually both of them do not compare. Because it is precisely the two complement each other. Waves with technology that is simpler and easier to implement. But perhaps still less devotees. While the ethereum, technology is more complex, and many devotees.

I don't think wave can surpass eth, because ethereum platform is still the most popular platform used by many project to do ICO.

I do not think that waves will grow to the level of Ethereum. Yes, this is probably a good platform, but it is not used and it is unlikely that it will become as popular as the Ethereum.

I prefer to invest in ETH. It seems to me that this coin is much more interesting and ambitious than WAVES. At the moment, I do not have WAVES, and I do not plan to buy them.

Waves focus is on mass adoption, specifically target two markets : fiat transfers on blockchain and crowdfunding on blockchain. They are very ripe for disruption, and waves will be offering a product for a very general audience, basically the main end-user client is just a plugin you can install from Chrome or FF store.

Waves is just the opposite to ETH probably. What they do is develop Bitcoin scripting, do everything using contracts, it’s very fundamental but makes certain things very complicated. Waves took another road, where things are simpler, very easy to add all functionality you need using plug-ins, don’t have to code complicated contracts.

I think that WAVES will never become a competitor to ETH. This project is very weak compared to ETH. But I think that the WAVES can significantly rise in price.
