It depends on the life they are currently conducting in your country ,the country where the live in. If they can have money to pass the month comfortable then there is no need to leave the country but I believe they are leaving because they cannot pass the month comfortably. If that is the case then this is the right decision to make, because their younger one kid will not feel any missing love, he is too small to distinguish feelings. I don't know the age of the elder kid but anyway as long as it will benefit them in the long run, then this is a correct decision. Money cannot bring you happiness but can bring you very near it.

Money is important because you can buy things with it. In other words, It's not important, the food you eat, the clothes you wear are important. If you have everything, why would you need money? It could make you happy in some situation but not always. If you are sick for example, no amount in the world could get your health back, If you lost your family, no money could bring them back either.

In your case it is clearly undeniable that the parents need much more money so they plan to leave their kids behind, for me this is a little bit exaggerated the parents should bring their kids along, if they can't they shouldn't have left. Some people forget their main objective and what they really want to do with the money, whether it is improving their lives or the lives of their families and spending quality time enjoying it. Instead they become obsessed in the game of making money just for the sake of making money and never attain their financial independence, just get addicted playing the game.
