do you get higher hashes with your 1080tis?
Yes, 51.6 Mh/s each on palgin's 1.1. That's the absolute maximum I could push out of them while bruteforcing miners and cards/miners settings. Settings: 1999MHz core, 5005MHz memory (stock for memory, I saw no reasons to downclock memory - no power or temp improvement found), 100% power limit in afterburner (actual on chart will be ~86%). Miner's setting is -i 24.5 (while 1050s prefer -i 23.5 as the best one). The cards itself are MSI's GTX 1080ti Gaming X.

and the power consumption of the 1080 ti ?
Software shows 86% tdp, which is 250w. The real power consumption for "5x1080ti + Pentium G4600 all stock + 60Gb ssd + 6 fans" system is ~1180w from the wall by cheap clamp meter. I don't have precise metering device, and I'm bored to use shunts to measure with expensive multimeter wow your power % must be jumping up and down like crazy lol
Yep, it jumps 60 to 115 ( ) with sgminer and palgin's 1.0, and does not with 1.1 and tpruvot's stock 2.2 miner.

What would you expect to happen when block halfing arrives?
Price increases because new coin supply drops? Difficulty decreases because it is not quite profitable anymore?

ETH Profitability is going down the drain. Most miners will look for something new to mine and I believe they will try SIGT. I dont expect the number of miners to decrease even with Halving but price will definitely increase 2 to 10 times with the Halving and Listing to Bittrex SIGT got higher volume than ETH @ Cryptopia

Both, but maybe the price will not increase imediately, as there is actually only 10% of the current supply on exchange.. A lot of miners are waiting the halving to dump their coins, with the hope of a better price. But if the sell volume increase, then price will maintain at current level, or even drop down a bit. Wait for few weeks to see the real effect of the halving on the market. Also I have good hope that trex will list the coin end august or early september

Thanks @oisilener1982 too, though I don't think ETH miner will switch anytime soon. The listing on bittrex would help for sure
