1 - Grayscale Investments recently announced its intention to sell the (Bitcoin Cash) held by its Bitcoin Investment Trust (OTC: GBTC) — a fund that currently holds more than $1 billion in assets — and distribute a dividend to its shareholders according to the below link.
https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitmex-to-dump-bitcoin-cash-and-credit-users-with-bitcoin/

2 - Some exchanges will credit Bitcoin holders per 1 august 2017 with Bitcoin cash on december 2017 and January 2018 which can result in selling free money for christmas expenses or for ideological reasons.

3 – Bitcoin has several possible upcoming hard forks that can lead to many want to hold Bitcoin to get the free coins.

Super Bitcoin, Bitcoin Platinum, Bitcoin Uranium, Bitcoin cash plus, Bitcoin silver, Bitcoin lightning network, Bitcoin century, Bitcoin Diamond - it seems like more and more Bitcoin hard forks are on the way.

Bitcoin Platinum scheduled to fork on dec 12 , 2017
Bitcoin Cash Plus hard fork scheduled to fork between dec 12 and jan 2, 2018
Super Bitcoin scheduled to fork on dec 15, 2017
Lightning Network scheduled to fork on dec 23, 2017
Bitcoin Uranium scheduled to fork on dec 31, 2017
The date of the fork for the other coins are still unknown.

All the details about the upcoming forks are at the below website:
https://hype.codes/bitcoin-possible-upcoming-hard-forks

News about Bitcoin “lightning network” hard fork
https://news.bitcoin.com/the-first-dpos-hard-fork-lightning-bitcoin-is-on-the-way/

News about Bitcoin Diamond & Century hard fork
https://news.bitcoin.com/initial-fork-offerings-ifos-the-new-way-to-fund-crypto-projects/

All those "bitcoin newcomers" will be largely used for speculation. Nevertheless they will fuel original bitcoin and boost its price to new heights.

Won't this thread be banned one day? Or is this thread more anti-Bitcoin Cash? Anyway, I just came here to look for reasons why Bitcoin Cash price is holding up and about to go up another leg.

Wasn't bitcoin's first idea not about immutability and disruption ?

 Grin

If you look at the open source code Bitcoin Cash is more immutable to SegWit and TABs.

If you like decentralization than you shouldn't support either of the 2 Bitcoin versions.

In my view decentralization is all about the mining being done by as many people as possible. You don't want a small group controlling the mining process. In both Bitcoins that is the case. And in many other altcoins also. As John McAffee correctly states in many interviews ... the mining business is a competitive business and therefore will always end up being centralized.

You can set low non-zero fee (liek 5-10 sat per byte) and your transaction will be included in the next block. You can also try with zero, but in this case it depends on the settings used by miner(s). I'm pretty sure some of them will include zero-fee tx too.

You can check block times here http://bch.xbt.it/

and mempool with fees https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/cash/#24h

bcash, yes that's a dead cert. i dunno about bitcoin gold yet. if it gets enough traction it might be taken out of the hands of the creators and become something worthy. gpu only is the best start anything that wants to avoid centralisation can have.

What is the safest and easiest way to claim BCH and other bitcoin forks?
I found a article about this:
https://graspingtech.com/claim-bitcoin-cash-bitcoin-core-wallet/
1 Open Bitcoin Core.
2 Click on Help, Debug window and then click the Console tab.
3 If your wallet is encrypted run the following command: walletpassphrase [PASSWORD] 900 replace [PASSWORD] with your wallet passphrase.
4 Enter listaddressgroupings to list all public addresses.
5 For each public address run the following command to view the corresponding private key. dumpprivkey [ADDRESS] replace [ADDRESS] with one of the addresses in the output of the command in the previous step.
6 Copy each private key to a text file for later use in Electron Cash.[/li][/list]

I followed the first 4 steps and found that there are more than 100 addresses.
That will be too much work to do if I do step 5 and step 6.
Is there are easier way to do this?

You can send a commission of 0.00000001bch and your merchant could accept the payment with 0 confirmations with total security. In the worst case it will take 10min to confirm  Cool
