16% Partnerships:
That is a huge chunk of money you are going to be diluting the pot with. You want people to buy 66% of the coin supply with ETH and then you are effectively in control of the other 34% which, as they are being sold on the market, rob those 66% coin-holders of value. So they are not just buying at the ICO price, they are buying at the ICO price and then facing a 50% 'tax' being applied to their market share value as those remaining 34% of coins are distributed and ultimately sold for ETH.

Who came up with those figures and thought they'd be an acceptable structure for an ICO-funded project?
...

Thanks for the feedback - we don't intend to drop tokens on the market. We're happy to time-lock the release of the partnership tokens over 18-24 months with as we intend to release them very slowly, to promote adoption of ENJ over many years. This could begin 3 months after the crowdsale ends and unlock a small amount every 3 months. We'll look at implementing that to increase confidence.

Regarding the 18% Team/Advisors portion of the coins, we have a lot of people working on Enjin Coin, and 18% gives everyone here a fair stake in the project. Especially compared to many other crowdsales, I believe the 66% allocation for the crowdsale is quite fair (Civic sold only 33% of tokens in their crowdsale. Status 41%, Bancor 50%, and so on).

This is interesting, i have been using Enjin services for many many years and i have been 100% satisfied. The space they provide for online communities to establish has played a crucial role in the growth of mmorpg games. Their customer support is good, the prices are competitive and the service is stable.

On the other hand i dont see where an enjin coin is required in the business model nor what will be its use.

They do have the clientbase to push the coin's adoption. I will be following, best of luck!

Thank you for the Enjin review! Regarding Enjin Coin, our goal is to quickly initiate adoption of the coin and provide a variety of powerful use cases for gaming communities, game servers, content creators and game developers.

The first step will be to allow Community owners to grant Enjin Coin or Custom minted coins to players automatically as a reward for participation on game forums and website communities. The existing automation system on the Enjin CMS Platform can reward coins to user accounts based on powerful combinations of conditions and triggers.

We will also develop SMF, phpBB, vBulletin, Xenforo and other forum and CMS integrations as part of the open-source Platform API that will allow anyone to easily adopt Enjin Coins into their websites and games.

The above is just the first step of our plans for Enjin Coin. Our primary goal will be to push partnerships with game developers and publishers to support or use Enjin Coin as a means to generate in-game items, currency or virtual goods.

We will develop open source SDKS for all major game platforms and Engines. Plugins for specific games such as Minecraft and Unturned will also be deployed quickly.

For what it's worth, I'm also extremely familiar with Enjin. I'm not entirely sure if this is actually endorsed by them, though...?

We are the same team. The Enjin (http://www.enjin.com) team will be developing Enjin Coin.

Well if you manage to get World of Warcraft on board with this, then hopefully other games from Blizzard will follow. I play

StarCraft the most and would love some "reward" system for tournaments paid in Crypto currencies. There are huge support

for StarCraft in South Korea and it was on the Top Twitch’s most-watched list for many months.  Grin This also has the

potential to be used on "Paid2Watch Streaming & eSport Gambling" sites.  Grin

If you guys manage to get big gaming companies into this (Activision-Blizzard, EA, Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, etc) then I'm more than interested. The success of your ICO will depend on how much priority you give to this task.

If you guys manage to get big gaming companies into this (Activision-Blizzard, EA, Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, etc) then I'm more than interested. The success of your ICO will depend on how much priority you give to this task.

Our number 1 priority is to attain mass adoption and form partnerships with large game publishers. The key reason we decided to start developing this coin, is due to the fact that we can create instant adoption on our huge network of 18 million gamers and 250k communities that span thousands of games (significantly towards AAA games). The other key reason, is we believe our concept as defined in the whitepaper will create near infinite use cases in a variety of game markets and situations.

https://enjincoin.io/enjincoin_whitepaper.pdf

We understand that no huge publishers will utilize (EA/Sony/Microsoft) this coin immediately without the correct market environment and toolsets provided.

Unlike other game coins, our plan is realistically achievable and will succeed. We are forming a step by step process to achieving mass adoption and utilization by big publishers.

The first step, is to quickly initiate mass adoption on our network of 250K communities and game servers (we already provide them with plugins, websites and web / in-game stores). This will be smoothly achieved, as we built the Enjin Platform and control every part of it.

https://www.enjin.com

The second step will be to attract indie game developers, game celebrities and content creators to utilize this coin, this step will be easily achieved once adoption begins to peak on Enjin and other networks. Millions of users will hold and utilize Enjin Coin at this stage, so forming partnerships with larger entities will become logically attainable without much difficulty.

Finally, due to creating a wider adoption network across many thousands of communities, servers and indie games, we can approach huge publishers with enough positive market forces and proven frameworks and toolsets.

We’re working on all 3 steps simultaneously and will be releasing key news regarding that soon. In the last 2 weeks we have received 100’s of partnerships requests from large gaming communities and entities.

The Enjin Platform (Social Gaming Network + Gaming Focused Content Management System) has been available since 2009. We have since grown to nearly 20 million users and 250k communities on Enjin. We also process millions of USD per month in virtual goods sales across our web store system (DonationCraft + Enjin Store).

You can find more information about Enjin here: https://www.enjin.com

Lilia, Chris and Brad are incredibly instrumental to Enjin and we’ve been working together for many years.

Please view their Enjin profiles and post history as follows:
I meant did you have any links external to your own site that show these people as who you claim them to be? You're asking for many millions in investment from the public and yet three of your team slated for a share of the pre-mine are not easily found as actual people on the web. Given their stated roles and experience I would have expected to be able to find them quite easily somewhere on social media. I am asking that you provide a little more to substantiate your claims regarding who your team are.

we don't intend to drop tokens on the market. We're happy to time-lock the release of the partnership tokens over 18-24 months with as we intend to release them very slowly, to promote adoption of ENJ over many years.
That isn't the point. You are still structuring your ICO in such a way that investors are facing a 50% 'tax' on their investment as a result of the 34% pre-mine being retained by you. Citing that other ICO's have done worse is not a rebuttal. You're still requiring that the investor pay both for the project to be funded directly as well as accept said 'tax' in order to pay both for the team 'bonuses' (which isn't unreasonable, per se), AND for making payments to collaborators and communities. Why are you not simply budgeting for the collaborators/community costs through the main token sale funds?

Regarding the 18% Team/Advisors portion of the coins, we have a lot of people working on Enjin Coin, and 18% gives everyone here a fair stake in the project.
Either you have people who form your team, in which case they need to be listed in order for the public to know where that 18% allocation is to go - in that you're not requiring they simply trust your word that it'll be disbursed to legitimate team members only, or you have other people, those who 'collaborate' and are part of the community, who are supposed to be being paid from the other part of the pre-mine, as mentioned above. You can't just say that 18% is going to go to 'everyone here' and not actually define what and who is meant by that.

Also, with regards to the holding of these many millions, are you intending on having the ICO funds and pre-mine tokens held in trusted third-party escrow, for release as and when required or as milestones are reached? It would add a much-needed layer of oversight to the process.

I understand your reasoning as an investor, with tokens being retained by Enjin for future distribution. Partnership tokens are going to be directed primarily towards communities that are using in-game items, website points, ranks, and shops. Further, we're partnering specifically with communities who intend to use them as elements of gameplay.

Since the majority of tokens are being distributed to create gameplay incentives, this doesn't dilute the crowdsale token pool very much. Instead, We're creating more opportunities for the tokens to actually be used by gamers. It will create a more vibrant ecosystem! The one thing that I really lament with existing cryptocurrencies is the lack of places to spend and use coins. I would be completely sold on a cryptocurrency if I could use it across thousands of games. Hodling & investing is great, but I want to see coins and tokens move to the next stage of an economy. Gaming is the ultimate platform for this - it's quick and easy to adopt (especially with Enjin Coin), all infrastructure can be built digitally and the risks are very low. Gamers are already familiar with virtual items and currencies and they're ready to run with this in their virtual worlds.

About reserving Enjin Coin tokens versus using the crowdsale funds for this - we want to have adequate tokens available to promote Enjin Coin adoption for years regardless of market behavior and having to buy-back tokens. This is just another way to slice a cake, and we're essentially committing this portion specifically for the purposes above. These reserved tokens are not being dumped on the market for investors, the majority is being directed towards the gaming community for the benefit of the whole.

Their entire work history is plain to see for everyone. Over 5 years of post history and direct evidence in exactly what they do across thousands of external sites. Thousands of posts interacting with thousands of users across thousands of external websites for many years.

Enjin is not a single website, but a collection of over 250,000 external communities and domains, all linked together to form a large gaming network and platform.

Our team and especially Chris, Brad and Lilia have worked for nearly a decade making sure our communities are supported and promoted across the gaming world.

So that's a no then? I don't doubt that you have three forum accounts which have been providing support for your users for several years. I am just concerned that you cannot provide a link showing their existence as people outside of your community. Lilia, for instance, is claimed to be a 'social media and marketing expert' with years of experience, yes? In this day and age it is almost unheard of for such a person to not be found on major social media platforms.

Understand this simple fact - there have been ICO's conducted in the past whereby those running it listed multiple 'team members' who turned out to be either entirely fabricated, or were not who they were being portrayed as. It is unacceptable to be seeking millions of dollars in investment funding for your project and for there to be a question mark over exactly who 'everyone here' at Enjin actually is.

So, I ask you again, please provide links, other than your own virtual community, which show who these people are in RL.

I fully agree with you and I have provided more than enough evidence to support their work. There is absolutely nothing virtual or fabricated about this, years of work history across countless websites, blogs, forum posts, marketing posts, all the social media posts on our Facebook and Twitter, multiple partnerships with large game developers and publishers and the list goes on and on. Just read our blog, Facebook and Twitter links. All of this was managed by Lilia, Brad, Chris and the rest of the team. Some of our staff use private social media accounts and have no connection to their work. I can have more than a thousand people on Enjin and in the gaming industry to vouch for Lilia, Chris and Brad if you need to see even more. You have to consider, we have nearly a decade long history in this market. Feel free to post on our forums and ask this question, or even contact the various game publishers we've worked with to confirm.
