4. Upload a scanned/take a photo of your passport (please note it has to be in jpg or other picture formats; PDFs not accepted)

This is neccessary requiments for all participiant? Why we must upload docs?  Huh

You are selling all your data but not giving that for Datum? Wink but seriously, KYC is going to normal process in all future icos that are going to be legit. I would be more concerned if they didn't require KYC

Is this for the ICO? First time ive seen passport request. They should use Civic if they want to verify ID's

This is a real paradox, on one hand we share our photos on social media with no problems but on the other hand when it comes to ID verification, nobody is fond of uploading their picture online. I believe they will use this kind of information just for whitelist and wouldnt worry about it.

I am not sure how the Civic works, but does it work on anywhere yet? Isn't that relatively new thing? I am pretty sure that ico laywers don't yet have that on their arsenal.

No, it is necessary for all KYC policies. Probably you didn't participate anything requiring KYC

To use this app you have to verify your ID and its stored on the blockchain. Ive seen some situations where Civic is already used (crypto related). I think it would word very well in this
scenario :https://www.civic.com/

Just got an email from Datum, Get ready!!! :

"Datum Token Sale This Sunday

The Datum Token Sale starts this Sunday, 29th Oct, 13:00 UTC.

To ensure you don't miss out on the best possible bonus, get whitelisted for the Token Sale (KYC process added today).

If you've whitelisted over 24 hours ago, check your status and finish the new KYC process."

What do you have to do for the new KYC process? Until now I just ignored all the info on this, but now I guess I have to read into it.

Oh so after we registered there, we can use it to invest in some projects with KYC procedures?

you just share your personal detais with the "know your customer" process. like passport id and so on and make some copies and verify yourself.

I understand, so this is how they want to regulate. Make it impossible for money laundering by entering your personal data. I guess its the only way

and how many have a hardcap on the mainsale? 150000eth or more? I remember that rather big
Hardcap Datum is 61'200 ETH, including 5000 ETH raised on the pre-sale

I dont know if it will reach hardcap.

It's quite high, but that's not a problem.
