this is like adding wings to lions/tigers, Neo ecosystem in the long run will be huge and might be on bar with Ethereum platform

I'm betting NEO surpasses ETH one day.

Why? because they've learnt for ETH's mistakes and they're doing everything legitimately.

Also the projects that are getting build on top of it are at a much higher standard.

NEO will be king of platforms, it's going to be hard to compete with now, being so far ahead of the game.

Don't listen to the FUD, HODL.

I'm not sure if NEO will surpass ETH because NEO is more centralized, but the Smart Economy NEO is creating is just awesome. Top 10 or maybe Top 5 would be a huge success. I'm just happy I bought some Antshares - not realizing at that time how huge this project is.

Definitely, project NEO have great funds now to finance its project. Surely, devs are going for the full development of the blockchain platform. It will be like ETH soon. Price might not be the same but surely, blockchain will.

I put the contract hash 'fc732edee1efdf968c23c20a9628eaa5a6ccb934' into the NEP-5 contract list but they don't show up in my list of 'Assets', other tokens such as 'Hashpuppies' and 'Endorsit Shares' do show up, and the NNC tokens show up in my wallet on Neotracker, what's wrong ?

That contract hash doesn't work in Neon either  

I found the same hash on Reddit and Tweeter, and others say it doesn't work for them either.

I can see my NNC on https://neoeconomy.io so I know they're there  

Edit: I can see my NNC in my Neon wallet; the contract hash fc732edee1efdf968c23c20a9628eaa5a6ccb934 appears to be working now

I am so thrilled about $NEO right now. I was already happy about projects like APEX, Ontology and several others. Recently several more came out of ICO, like Effect.AI, DeepBrainChain, THEKEY and more. Then the upcoming ones. Missed out of NEX (shame), but was lucky with ICO's like Spotcoin, AsuraCoin and Concierge. Got a few free MCT too, but missed out on the Ontology airdrop .

So much to get exited about. So many ICO's coming up this year

Also, today I read about a NEO alliance in the Black Sea region. Several tech companies and blockchain start-ups, all initiated by the Spotcoin team, have put their hands together to promote regional innovation. To mark the occassion even a few other $NEO projects came to visit, like Effect.ai, Concierge, Thor and Travala. The NEO Black Sea Community will focus on bringing blockchain to the region, together with introducing local tech companies with the possibilities of blockchain. I love these kind of developments, which reflects great on $NEO too .

I prefer to use the neo-gui wallet (not too keen on opening a wallet with private key always worried someone might be 'looking in') but I fired up my Neon wallet and succesfully added the NNC to it. They may eventually decide to turn p in the neo-gui wallet.

NEO has become one of the greatest in the past few years, who would have thought of being the top coinmarketcap. I think it will be easy if you want to be lined with ethereum.

Everything crypto are getting exciting nowadays especially with NEO. I got a feeling we are recovering and before any new ATHs, of course there'd be some lows. But the trend is that we are seeing normalization of the price which is acceptable these days and hopefully that will lead to new ATHs in a couple of weeks or a few months from now. Overall, I foresee a very good 2018 for NEO and most of the others.

NEO Entered the Era of Decentralization

On July 4, 2018 at 21:00 (GMT+8), NEO Foundation initiated the election of new consensus nodes, starting the era of decentralization of NEO. The candidate node run by City of Zion, after running smoothly on TestNet for over six months, got elected as the new consensus node. City of Zion (CoZ) is an independent, international group of open source developers working on NEO blockchain.

A webpage has been set up on NEO official website for monitoring NEO blockchain status as well as information of consensus node candidates and their votes. (Weblink: https://neo.org/consensus)

Timeline of NEO decentralization process:

• Nov. 2015: TestNet launch.
• Apr. 2016: ANTSHARES-GUI integrated the consensus node voting system.
• Apr. 2016: ANTSHARES-GUI integrated the consensus node voting system.
• Oct. 2016: MainNet launch. 7 consensus nodes hosted by NEO Council got voted.
• Jul. 2017: ANTSHARES-GUI was renamed to NEO-GUI; updated version was released.
• Jan. 2018: Voting algorithm was optimized.
• Jan. 2018: NEO-GUI was updated to be compatible with the optimized voting algorithm.
• Jan. 2018: The node hosted by CoZ started to run on TestNet.
• Apr. 2018: The node hosted by KPN started to run on TestNet. KPN is one of the largest telecom companies in the Netherlands.
• Apr. 2018: The node hosted by Fenbushi Capital started to run on TestNet. Fenbushi Capital is the first China-based venture capital firm that exclusively invests in Blockchain-enabled companies.
• May 2018: Enhancement of the P2P network.
• Jul. 2018: A monitoring webpage of consensus node candidates was launched.
• Jul. 2018: NEO Foundation voted for new consensus node CoZ.
• End of 2018: NEO Foundation plans to vote KPN and other partners as mainnet consensus nodes.
• 2019: NEO plans to open public campaign for election of all consensus nodes.

Not really ... This is yet another non-news with a previous announcement of announcement ... This only gives bad rep to the management. It creates artificial hype for nothing. Seriously, they need to stop these teasers and just announce things when they announce them, and let the public decide if it's huge or not, not build up expectations and release news that don't live up to them. On a positive note, good to hear that there is one node that does not belong to the NEO foundation and that there might be more to come.
