I think bitcoin survive due to decentralized control the price of bit coin up and down instantly what do you think ?.
I strongly believed that bitcoin will survive for a long period of time because bitcoin has already known all over the world and many are already using it.Bitcoin is number one cryptocurrency and no can ever replace  it.Try to imagine the price right now,it becomes higher and higher as days and years passes by.

I think bitcoin can survive as long as the investors and other people doing/making BTC as part of their lives think positively and enjoy doing it and not thinking of it whether it will die due to some downtrends. The true essence of this is by contributing positively and sharing it with other people who are interested and also who are in need of extra funds. By sharing the word about BTC is like helping it to stay alive and survive. Just like many other altcoins there, BTC is still on the top because it is the one that is being idolized or being compared to as the model of cryptos that's why as long as time goes by, BTC will still exist and never be forgotten.

Impressive how this thread is still so active. Smiley

Keep in mind the original post was right before the BCC hard fork at the beginning of August.

Well, it seems we have our answer now, at least on the short-medium term Smiley

They seem to coexist pretty well, so well in fact that people thought they'd need new friends... look how many of those fork coins we have now!

In my opinion the community has "overall" reacted "sensibly" to this storm.

Shall you let me rise on top of my ignorance, I am personally satisfied with the outcome.

It seems most of the fear about diluting the value of BTC was indeed unfustified and the projects with more credibility like BCC (sanctioned by BTC devs) inspired more trust from the community and received more approval and exposure, thus consequently are better valued on the market.

We'll see what happens on the long run but for BCC to surpass of even kill BTC it would have to make significant advancements to its usability as opposed to Bitcoin not resolving current limitations/issues - For example if Bitcoin core implemented some kind of lightning network and it failed / was vulnerable and Bitcoin Cash came up with something that all of a sudden solved the limitations of scalability / transaction time.

All things being equal, Bitcoin Core was there first and right now still beneficiates from an aura of confidence/prestige.

Yes, Bitcoin have future. Well everything has a future, it can be good or bad or even mixed. If you asked, Do Bitcoin have a good future? Then my answer would be, Bitcoin will have mixed future. I meant in very long term. If you think of timeline of about 2 years, Bitcoin will do OK. There will considerable dips around August 1st,2017. But when you think of 2 year timeline, there will be overall rise of Bitcoin. So even if you invest now, from another 2 years it will be very profitable.

Yes, the company of bitcoin will survive no matter what happens.
The company of bitcoins has huge supporters in their services so there are still reasons why they need to operate in the whole country. As long there are people believe on them bitcoin will stay with them.

For me, bitcoin can survive even the biggest downfall because even there is a big downfall of bitcoin, there are many people and investors believe in the power of bitcoin, power that can survive even the biggest problem. And now the bitcoin is slowly recovering from that big downfall and many people and investors are happy in that news. I'm also happy that bitcoin is recovering and I hope that it will continue to rise up.

Of course, the influence of bitcoin on a global level is already unstoppable, there will be regulations, manipulations, but its tendency will continue for many years to come.

In the first place, when i get involved to cryptocurrency , bitcoin is in the top of my list who pushed me to grab some piece of it through posting, and we all know that there are a lot of alternative coins but the most valuable and the most recognized coins globally are bitcoins. No wonder for me bitcoins will survive
