How do you explain Bitcoin or crypto to complete newcomer

The way that I will explain to a completely newcomer about Bitcoin or cryptocurrency is by describing it using the term "Digital Currency". With that, I will further explain how this Digital Currency works. That it is being used for transaction just like a regular currency and has its own rates when it is being converted into cash or currency for an individual's specific country.

When he or she will get the idea of it, then it will be easy to further explain on how Bitcoin can be earned in different ways like joining signature campaigns or use Bitcoin as kind of a investment instrument.

You can try showing them some graphical diagrams or graphical videos about the increment in the price for bitcoins. You can also show them some predictions about the price of bitcoin heading at least a minimum of 4000$. It will definitely attract users.

If you don't find this useful, find a good way but always try to attract as many as possible newbies to the bitcoin and crypto field.

For me I ask them if they already know cryptocurrencies if not then I have to teach or tell them a short tale of how do I know bitcoin and how do I earning from bitcoin so that I got there attention and they are eager to listen. I give them bitcoin links, presentation and specially I show them my earnings. To be honest I'm not really very good on talking and convincing people but I already have some recruit of my friends to have bitcoin just what I did now.

When I showed my friends about bitcoin, it was like teaching them to start learning words again. They are a little bit difficult to get started because the bitcoin concept is not easy to understand for those with inexperienced backgrounds.

first you need to be patient when teaching because not all people will easily understand bitcoin. If you want to teach them do it hands on if they were near you. Like we can buy some merchandise in online and by paying up your utility bills for transaction. tell the what is the use of bitcoin

We all start from basics don't we? I prefer explaining it in a way everybody we'll be able to understand the fundamentals of wher bitcoin originate, when it started, how it was founded and then I'll start to explain briefly what is bitcoin. Bitcoin is not hard to explain to average people because its just another form of currency which the main difference to any other currencies is it is in the form of digital. Since the millenial generation is greatly involved in the technology industry, I probably doubt it that someone would be troubled explaining what is bitcoin to them.

I might make Paypal as an example then upgrade it with bitcoin explanation.
I do think Paypal for them is the most understandable to be as an example since it is just USD input online.
Just stretch everything after that then maybe you could somehow make him or her understand it.
Next would be videos and focus on bitcoin first before trying to explain other crypto currencies or it would just be a waste.

There are a lot of youtube videos on  Bitcoin and many of them explain Bitcoin nicely, i try to explain more about technology and the blockchain and how to understand whitepaper.

Understanding whitepapers is important. And also youtube videos will help but be aware of scam videos. Youtube has many scam videos and no doubt some are a good source of information about bitcoins but the remaining videos force me to avoid using youtube as a reference.

You can also introduce many people here to this forum. This forum also provides all possible information about all cryptocurrency including bitcoins.

5 months, this is not a long time for you to understand everything about bitcoin, you need more time. Me too, I got to know Bitcoin about 8 months ago, and now it's giving me lots of chances to get rich, but I have not got it yet.

I will prefer this forum is the best place to learn about any crypto currency. Yes in youtube many scam videos are there, and they will easily scam newcomers. But the thing is how the newcomers will find which video is legit and which is not. So this forum will explain them in detail what is Bitcoins and how it works in the real world and other things about Bitcoin.

So you just suddenly lecture to a stranger about bitcoins? Like come up to a guy at a bar out of the blue and teach him about bitcoins? That would be creepy as hell dude.

If I would want to spread the word about bitcoins then I would just write about it in blogs or other written ways. This is an easier way to distribute the knowledge faster. Also sharing it on social media is a good approach to spreading the word.

Yes, but understanding the cryptocurrency field is not as easy. It has many ups and downs and can also give huge looses if not proper strategy used. Many new people will think that it may be scam, etc so trying to show them some whitepapers and some legal announcements will help them to start trusting bitcoins.

This is a clever and effective way to introduce bitcoins to newcomers. Firstly, you must make the idea of digital currencies clear in their minds and then what bitcoins are. At last, tell them about how BTC is ruling the crypto currency world and all of its cool features like high level security and huge profits due to its increasing value. To keep them in business, give them temptation of luxurious life. Simple and efficient tactics to persuade people!

To explain it, I think you should just say the basics. You can just go straight and say “Bitcoin is a digital currency, with a greater value. It can be used for peer to peer transactions.”
After that, you can go ahead to add other things of interest, like telling them it can used as long investment, shopping and a lot more. Anything you can come up with to convince them.

And also in this forum, they encourage me to read some essential guidelines in order to familiarized myself. Just read and suddenly you will learn everything without noticing it to yourself.

A new person will never try when he does not try it himself. Believe that when there is a will then we can easily understand a new thing, including bitcoin. So if only explanation but no will then it will not produce anything.
