BCH has been one of the coins that are on top of the list although its future is uncertain since it has been going down lately. Despite the fact that bitcoincash has a lot of potential, i guess it is best to just observe its movement for the. Next months and we'll see if it is worth an investment.

I see BCH price is around 0.094 BTC at time of writing. I am considering to buy some. I hope the price will raise because of all the media attention.
What do you guys think buy or not buy?
Do not even bother, BCH is a coin that has no future no matter how hard the mines are trying to sell it as the real bitcoin and stuff like that, if you wanted BCH you should have bought BTC before the hard fork, get your BCH and sell it for whatever you could get and get even more bitcoin with it, now that you need to actually put some money in it in order to get it, BCH does not seem like it is a worthy investment. |

i will prefer investing in it right now because i think it has a huge potential and it will be back to its previous price soon and then we will be good enough to have almost double profit. the price of bcc depend upon mostly on bitcoin and we seen it has a great future a head that's why bcc is also really cool to invest right now. |

If the Bitcoin can get scaling right, then there is no need for the Bitcoin Cash to rise fast. |

Just check how Bitcoin Cash is being mined. When the difficulty is high, almost nobody except ViaBTC is mining it and there is one block found every 2 - 4 hours. Then when the difficulty drops because of the low hash rate, all other miners jump in and rape it for quick profit, with block being found every 2 minutes or so. This is repeating over and over again. And the miners are just selling the easy-mined BCH instantly to buy BTC.
I'm pretty sure BCH will just slowly die over time.

Bitcoin cash doesn't have any serious development. It was made only for speculation to get some quick profit out of the market and it still is and will be only speculation coin. There might be some pumps, but in long term it will only go down.

They are just milking BCH in real talk.I don't have any hopes for this another so-called bitcoin which is totally an altcoin. This coin is already good for short tradings and for mining which would eventually give you instant profits. For OP since its been 2 months I'm sure you do know already the step you would made. |

If you could have bought bitcoin Cash as at the time of making this thread you could have make great profit on 5th of August when the price went as high as $1000. Bitcoin Cash will actually going up in month to come as there are alot of uncertainty in the market currently. The best time to buy any coins is when it is cheap and now is the right time to buy bitcoin Cash.

Nah, devs cloned bitcoin to compensate it's disadvantages and some drawbacks. Then Bicoin Cash was made, it's not only for speculations or anything but big bitcoin companies like bitmain are really looking forward on BCH because they are really seeing the worst scenario's of bitcoins future. Man if you are really planning to buy bitcoin cash, buy as long as you can. Remember that ethereum classic somehow rockets unto$15 just from only $1, man this fork coins are not bad looking at those examples. So looking at bch, it's not really a bad decision to hold some. Remember that it is a new version of bitcoin with some new features. So it might be the next bitcoin somehow. |

Early august yesterday BCH made noise and made everyone panicked, I think BCH can be like bitcoin but now i notice the same as altcoin ordinary and i'm not interested to buy BCH.

i will only buying bch for daily trading if i see there is a chance for me to make profit but i don't want to make bch as my long term investment because i am not sure with this coins. i think its better to invest the other coins like btc, eth, etc and else for a long term than making bch as my investment. but if in one day, bch can not give me good profit then i will not buy it again and i will leave it in the market.

If the Bitcoin can get scaling right, then there is no need for the Bitcoin Cash to rise fast. BCH has no reason to rise fast, even if bitcoin did not solved a thing no one s using bitcoin cash, all the people still remain loyal to bitcoin, many are long term investors and they see bitcoin cash for what it is an attempt to weaken bitcoin and try to deceive people to exchange their valuable bitcoin for completely valueless bitcoin cash coins, fortunately most people are not doing something that dumb. |

Personally at the moment if buy BCH is risk, we should wait BCH price is exist this move down trend. That's because the coins that were trapped in Xapo and Bitstamp have finally reached the market. In a couple of weeks the coins in Gemini will hit the market too, so the price will dip some more. After that it should rise till Jan when the Coinbase coins are released. |

it seems surprisingly steady to me considering the sheer number of coins suddenly available, and volumes are very low. most people not be bothering or are holding. coinbase is the one i'm most interested in. that must be far more than a million coins. |

I don't get how anyone could say this coin has "potential" (as like 10 people here did). This is like the least potential coin out there apart from maybe CoinyeCoin. It's worse than useless - it just does harm.
The code is exactly like Bitcoin. Who on earth needs that? It has bigger blocks... but no one transacts on it anyways.
And with that one 'fix' the devs tried, they managed to add a bug in mining. Now the miners will get the rewards faster, dumping them on the market. So who would expect that the devs are capable to develop anything else for this coin.
If the price should ever tick up, it would just be an incentive for more people to take the effort to dump their coin. More and more wallets allow the split now - and once coinbase joins, the dump will be epic.

So far, the BCH protocol is holding its own with continued infrastructure growth as well as capturing the fourth largest digital asset capitalization. However, the BCH community and the project’s developers are in the midst of a debate regarding removing the Emergency Difficulty Adjustment (EDA), which initially helped keep the network going during its first few weeks.
Presently, the EDA implementation added to the Bitcoin Cash network is causing some people to believe the network is having issues. For instance, a half a day could go by, and there are barely any blocks found, and then some days BCH miners will process a multitude of blocks in a short period of time. Some people believe ‘dishonest’ miners are abusing the EDA and the safeguard is hurting the network. It’s speculated that miners can simply join forces to initiate a difficulty adjustment when BCH’s market price is meager, which could cause disastrous inflation. The conversation has got the BCH community discussing the situation heavily, and developers are talking about different solutions.
On August 25, Bitcoin ABC lead developer, Amaury Séchet (Deadalnix), revealed his idea for a difficulty algorithm change for the BCH network. Séchet says he was expecting “wild swings of hashrate” between both BCH and BTC chains. “This isn’t something we can completely prevent without both BTC and BCH hashrate adjusting in timeframes equivalent with the ones of price swing,” explains Séchet on the bitcoin-ml mailing list.
...in the mailing list email Séchet proposes a solution which has been submitted for review, so that the rest of the Bitcoin ABC developers can discuss the idea. The algorithm is designed to “adjust the difficulty to hashrate to target a mean block interval of 600 seconds” – according to an individual called “Mengerian” who reviewed the idea with Séchet. Mengerian says other design features include avoiding drastic changes during times when the hashrate is flat, and adjusting difficulty when the hashrate changes fast. Séchet says he simulated the following scenarios with constant hashrate and swings between block intervals. |
