Am I the only one noticing the trend of noob accounts saying this driver works great.

I have missed some activity on a couple of pages but it seems odd to me.

Someone posted this thread on a local IT forum in my country, I tried the driver and it worked, why cant we say it worked? If you are paranoid then just do not use it or scan it then for any malware. Choices are great.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

i have logged my 12hrs mining using the driver shared by Robinhood.

my previous reported hashrate is around 194-195Mh/s, and after using the driver it went to 206-207Mh/s (6% higher compared to old driver).

effective hashrate from 182-185Mh/s to 186-190Mh./s

However, my average shares at the pool in the previous driver is 175 shares/hr, after using this driver it went 181.5 shares/hr (3% higher compared to old driver).

after the increase of DAG size yesterday, i personal conclude that the driver solution to DAG size is impressive, both in reported and effective hashrate.

however, there are times that i am having a spike of 210-230Mh/s effective hashrate for 10-20minutes using the old driver, whereas the modded driver is providing effective hashrate which is constant at 200-202 effective hashrate.

tried dual mining w/ Siacoin using -dcri 15, however it seems that my RIG restart evey 10-15mings. sounds like a PSU issue having not enough juice to power up the GPU's. which made me think that undervolting is not that effective as the old driver...

just sharing my experience here, would glad to have your tips and advice if any.

Thanks
coyotev

Tried this early this morning but probably one of the few that got absolutely crap out of it.

This is my system:
-windows 10 64bit, updated to the latest patch
-claymore 9.7, all OC/undervolting hard-coded to config.txt
-17.7.1 as I didn't bother updating to 17.7.2
-6x Asus Dual OC Rx580 8GB
-171Mh/s [28.5mH/s per card] @DAG137

1. Downloaded the drivers, tried updating via device manager > black screen. I had to force reboot.
2. Restarted, updated to 17.7.2, then tried the beta driver > same old shitty black screen.
3. Ran DDU, updated to 17.7.2 then beta driver > cannot continue updating of drivers as it is corrupt or unreadable.

So yeah, i'll just wait for the official AMD release.

P.S. I system restored back to my working state and ran Claymore 9.8, but getting super slow hash rates, like back to stock of 24Mh/s.

Anyone have the same issues?

I have the same problem in 2 rigs, another rig is running perfectly doing the same process, so i think the problem could be some card. We have to wait oficial drivers....

i admit im noob here  Roll Eyes yet, im not stupid enough to try this on my main wallet of course. i can feel that some veteran miners here tested this out of curiosity. (does this mean they are also noob?)   Roll Eyes

again, try this driver in a safe way.

Running this driver for almost 24h on my saphire 5x 480x rig... Reported hasrate is 145.2 like before dag average hasrate is higher by 3-5% then on rest of rigs also number of shares much higher... only problem i jave is that i csnt undervolt cards as claymore making spikes one second voltage go down then other second return to default and afterburner voltage settings also dont work.. any solution for undervolting?

Try Watttool. Also there is a new version of AB supports this new driver patch.

My hashrate indeed increases, but the results are fewer
does mining difficulty level increase due to DAG?

If you have Sapphire, use Trixx to undervolt. It will show 0 for cclock and memclock but you can control undervolting and fans.

Been running this driver for almost 2 days. Most stable/accurate effective hashrate I've had since starting to mine.
If ethermine would stop having problems it would be even better.

I had the same behaviour...so i switched back to AMD 17.7.1 where all commands from claymore work for my Gigabyte Aorus RX 580 4G. Now i have 160 mh/s ETH & 5000 MH/s DCR at 950W at the Wall... i will try to bring it down to 900W but this needs timeconsuming testing time :-)

Greetz.

I just want to say nothing at all, to all those people who, at least, say "thank you". Enjoy in this ! I know how much peoples are frustrated with DAG epoch from yesterday. Wink

1. Okay is this a whole new driver or can I patch my 16.9.2 driver with this one?
2. I am using wattool right now. No need for MSI right?

Everything else is the same right?
