honestly, faucets are just a continuation of a tradition at this point; if the casinos really wanted to they could easily just put play money up for the users to test the site with. a sikmilar solution was implemented by bitvest, where the faucet is purely play money now (they can be redeemed for actual coin at a certain threshold) in the form of tokens.

I don't think the primary reason why they keep faucets is because BTC faucets are the pioneer of Bitcoin of 2009/2010. It might be one reason but not the main reason.

I think its easier to just add a very small dust amount of BTC and they can gamble with real currency. If it was play currency, it would cause issues like if there is a bet id or hall of fame. Basically they would need to recode everything for play currency to ignore incrementing the bet id and also ignore functions such as hall of fame or high roller section, etc. So I think its easier for the site to give the user an actual amount of real BTC rather than play money.

This wasn't an issue because back in 2015/2016 most of the BTC faucets were pretty much given back to the casino anyways. However the abuse started much later on in 2017 when if I recall PD was losing about 20 BTC daily to faucet abuse.

If small players who play with free coins leaves Stake, I doubt it will make the site closed within a month. Simply because the number of real players who play with their own money(deposit) is still huge enough, small players who play with free coins basically gives nothing to the casino. Look at the fact that there are many other casinos that does not even offer free coins regularly for their players, in fact they can survive for long time because the existence of real players. I dont mean to underestimate small players but even if they leave the site, it wont give negative effects to the site.

why would they need to recode everything? casinos are more than capable of adding more currencies (altcoins) when the time comes, why would play money suddenly be impossibly difficult to implement without recoding literally everything? if your code is that trash and doesn't have any room for additions / expansion, you've no reason running that service in the first place. and bet id's? just keep them separate: id's for bitcoin, separate ones for altcoins, tokens, etc. where's this assumption of yours that both methods of play have to be kept together? and hall of fame? high roller tab? that is trivial compared to shit like this:

First thing, if stake is just some new site starting fresh, thej it might be possible to collapse. But now they are under some big name site a.k.a primdice which is already well known. And if small players dont play there, the site will never collapse. Second thing, do you think they handle thing like other new sites? People who gamble on stake don't need any rain or even faucet. I also think if faucet should't added again since it often got abused by people who tried to make "free money" from that.

It's impossible to making free money from faucet. People will already start to receive pension, when they managed to win minimal amount to withdraw using faucet money

Why people use faucet - is because they are sick of gambling, and the only way to recover from gambling addiction and save money is to use faucet. For example I used to be crazy to play mines on stake. Not because I wanted to win, but because I wanted to feel that nervous feeling when you about to hit the mine.

He has to understand that some issues have higher priorities than others and every reported issue so far is on the verge of an update or related fix.
You just have to be patient. Also you can contact the Support team and they will let you know how much your issue is known or if nobody reported it so far.

@Symphonized it’s really nice to see that Stake has acknowledged that it has bugs on it’s site, till the time you’re aware of it and are solving them it’s fine. One should not be bothered because of few bugs as even Facebook has them, in case if you find a bug you should report it so necessary action can be taken by them. 7 billionth bet has just passed, congrats for this achievement and congrats for the player who hit the 7 billionth bet who win the giveaway. As can be checked through the betID, the user is millioner500 with bet amount of 1000 satoshi and profit 10 satoshi. It means that he deserves at least 10*100=10k satoshi as the prize (the rule says profit or loss multiplied by 100). It sounds so small amount but I think Stake gave some extra prize for him because it is a big achievement which will be so unfortunate if the prize for the one who hit it is just that small amount.
