What are the heaviest bags that you are holding and for how long have you been holding?

I got some really dumb cryptos in my pocket. Most of these are coins that I mined back then I was testing mining software and getting my first mined coins. I got lucky with Dogecoin and sold for 0.5 BTC, that was a steal.

I got MYR, DGB, Catcoin, QRK, Fluttercoin, Fantomcoin, RPC, NET... fuck, I got so many coins, and it's a couple bucks worth. Im just holding and looking for the typical random pump to dump.

Again these coins are just mined, so they are not really dumb investments, if you dont count mining them as dumb..

I did bought MazaCoin back then tho, I was a noob lol. I lost them on Cryptsy anyway.

my invested bags are ripple and Library, both are luckily still worth more than I bought, however im going to hold onto these for a couple of years.

I gave up on DGB and BELA a while back and sold them all.

Because I'm gonna hold it for quite some time and I wanna know what's the difference between trading and holding it. I wanna know their significance.

Wow. Dogecoin is the only name I can recognise there I have to admit. I also used to have a lot of dumb coins, but collected from faucets. Most of them were for Airdrops and some were just staked into poswallet until they got removed. I don't think any of them gave me any value, even though some were worth 1 satoshi each, it was maybe several thousand satoshi in the end? Complete waste of time and resources for wallets.

I have in my bag NEO (got when it was still at $10) and planning to hold it long term and I recently bought some STRAT, NMR and WAVES. The heaviest bag goes to NEO and I am happy with how this coin performed in the past few days. The least that I have is NMR. I am hoping that STRAT will someday skyrocket like NEO. But if you are holding an altcoin and it bottoms, you don't lose anything by holding it hoping for a random pump. Just look at coins like Fibrecoin, Bitstar etc. Very randomly, coins that are half dead can pump a lot, and if you are holding the right coin, you can off your bags and make a nice profit in the process vs selling them for a loss.

Just consider these bags as lost already and maybe you get lucky, that is my strategy with random altcoins that im holding for some reason.

i think it should be bitcoin or rthereum, but nowadays these two has pump so much that it has little potential compared with other altcoins, some new coin deserve holding

Hi Shermand100.  I have a few Gridseeds as well, just plinking away.  I was on ipominer as well, and was getting a crapload of coins I didn't know what to do with them.  Just wanted to let you know I found this cool other pool called Prohashing.com.  It works kind of the same way as ipominer, where you don't know what coin you are mining, as they are constantly switching to the highest paying.  But the big difference is Prohashing sells all the coins themselves, then pays you in whatever coin you choose.  They have about 200 to pick from.  

I am not associated with them in any way, so this isn't an ad.  Just advice from one gridseed miner to another.


As for my largest BAG I am holding atm, it would be Siacoin.  I bought big into it right before the ASIC announcement that dropped the coin to a 1/3 of what it was when I bought.  Luckily I have faith in this coin, so I guess I am holding for the long haul.

I'm holding many shitcoins like you OP but the only difference is that I got them from yobit free coins give away and just have accumulated through time. I have been bagholding pwr for a year now or more and the same goes for the other shitcoins I have since I stopped using yobit for a year now. The heaviest bag I got right now though is still not an altcoin but it is in it's ICO phase and I'm hoping ICO would be a success.

Waves may be a nice investment to have though I am not so sure that it would be the wisest choice for a risk free investment right now since the price of Bitcoin is going up. The price of Waves could move relative to Bitcoin though there is not enough progress within that project to label it as such.

Waves could be one of the top contenders for the Top 10 coins out there right now though there isn’t that many people that know of Bitcoin that want to invest their money into Waves because that coin is does not have as much credibility compared to Ethereum and Litecoin.

That is mostly the consequence of pump and dump groups, they see a coin without a lot of movement and with a low market cap and they make that coin their target, if you were holding that coin then be sure to be grateful to them since they have saved you from losing money.

I have like 1/6th of all "BOB" in existence and I buy it whenever it gets ridiculously low, just because. I don't expect to ever sell it, I just love the 30yr old Sub-Culture, Alien/Sex Cult MEME. Sometimes I think I'm the sole reason it even exists; tho I imagine there are many who feel the same as I do who just have less.. or more maybe.  The Explorer says The average BagHolder4BOB has ~100,000 "BOB" and I think the only people selling are alternating coin mining pools who dump what they mine at any price.

It's a really stupid coin that was originally a blue-matt/coingen coin; created as a joke, about the same week as DOGE & knowing full well it was going to be a worth-nothing, private community marker. That is in fact it's biggest selling point to me. It's WORTHLESS on Purpose, even though it's been completely re-writen by x_slacker, shakezula and most recently earlz of QTUM.

All of what you say is true but at the same time if a person wants to risk some money to try to make a huge amount of money, waves seems to be one of the better coins to do so, the market cap is not as high, their project is good enough and the potential for growth is there, I will be willing to risk some money there and take my chances.

I have a handful of stupid coins that I picked up from airdrops, that will never be worth anything and likely never to get listed on a decent exchange - so these have been a waste of my time rather than my money. Waves/IOTA are my favorite bags now. I try to shift all my investment to them. And they are about 70% of my portfolio. I believe that for next 6 - 8 months there will be good jumps of their price. Especially waves has a very powerfull team. And investors carry a torch for waves. None of them sells their waves.

Correct, being a bagholder means in the world of finances to have stocks that no longer have any value in the world of crypto these are dead coins, fortunately, all the coins that I have still have some value so I’m not a bagholder but since I’m not perfect that may change at some point in my meager trading career.

I have system made to put 7% of my total capital in the best performing coins in the previous month. But it does not seem to work so I am thinking selling all coins again and learn TA cause I am loosing money this way.. Happy to hear other opinions

I started to accumulate ripple. The price didn't increase during bitcoin pump and I expect a strong action from ripple price. It can be $0.3 in one day easily like old days.

If Ripple are successful in what they're trying to achieve, it could well make XRP number one in marketcap and well in excess of $1 per coin. The only thing is that it might take a while - banks and regulatory authorities can move at a glacial pace.

i've been positive and looking forward for it too, sad to say that it has still not reach the selling price yet, but I am not selling it right away, I am even eager waiting for some updates about it and I am holding it for long term, I am not in a rush anyway.

Glad you're holding long-term! One thing that is needed with XRP is patience. It's not a short-term trading coin, and the price could yet drop below 3k sats... but I think it has more long-term potential than any other coin, and when the next price rise (eventually) arrives, it could well be huge.

ETH of course, with a lot of eth I can easily invest in ICO. When I earn big profit in ICO then I sell the token and convert to eth. The more ETH I hold, I will have a chance to buy or invest in promising and profitable ICOs, That is the easiest way to trade instead of trading directly in the exchanger. Predicting market price is hard for me. Buy buying presale coin, I earn 50 % off. When the coin lauch in the exchanger I will make a lot of profit.

Pospro coins its fundamental and the approach of the developer was so good that i am holding more then 500k coins and it is now delisted from Bleutrade exchange and their is no sign of the developer of that coin.
