Well thats a very good news since our country Philippines have been already using uber for a couple of years now.These would could also decrease the effort of converting our bitcoin into cash which charges us a little.

I don’t think Uber is going to accept that though, there are lots of things that the company is going to plan for before they can start accepting bitcoin as a mode of payment, because even I as an individual would not recommend it as a form of payment |

this is a good idea, but for uber providers and managers, this will be very inconvenient and troublesome, because the bitcoin prices are so volatile that it is difficult to determine the uber drag for the passengers

The main issue is slow transactions and its volatility. But if they first ask people to deposit into their wallet before using then slow transaction issue will be solved. It is like some other wallets you need load first before using. But they may not do it because of its high volatility. |

And also, uber drivers can also have big tips because of bitcoins hehe It might be a good idea in the side of the uber companies and also the uber drivers because they will get profit with bitcoin and we all know that getting bitcoins is a great chance to make more money if they will hold it for long term and don't sell it for a long time. That is the only way that i know why it will be a good idea for the uber to accept bitcoin. |

It is indeed a good news, People who have an uber apps will get curious what kind of payment method is this and they will eventually look for it in the internet, and of course since the apps now can tip drivers with Bitcoin it means that all the uber drivers will have an idea, it will start with them then their family so expect more new people that will going to try Bitcoin. |

if that would be a legit news, then i think uber will be the first payed using bitcoins in the Philippines. Because most of the time, we need to convert it to real money which is pesos to buy and pay bills. But if bitcoins can already spend without being converted, then it would be a great thing for us. Also, it's popularity would increase in a high rate due to an additional way to pay money in terms of bitcoins. |

Its amazing to know that Bitcoin is been made one of the payment gateway for transportation technology like Uber . Then i must expect to see Bitcoin in indian transportation Cab services like OLA CABS also. Uber and Ola cabs are more popular than traditional Taxi or Auto Rickshaw here in india. Bitcoin has really change the Payment system all over the world. It is the simplicity in doing transaction, that makes Bitcoin more & more popular all over the world. I have never heared about this news here in our country but I will check it myself and confirm in on uber as I always using their service here in our country. That's the point. Uber accepted bitcoins as a payment for its services a long time ago but not people of all the countries are able to avail this facility. I don't know what the main problem is. Are taxi drivers not aware of bitcoins or the customers have not heard this news yet ? |

Wow this is a great news for uber users and for uber drivers. Here in the philippines most commuters uses uber as there daily commute vehicle because there is no toxic in the roads and mostly they are comfortable than a taxi. This maybe a great idea so that other people know bitcoin and what is bitcoin I mean this is another stepping stone for the philippines to introduce bitcoin in the city. |
