Im getting an empresion tha u think pd is paying somebody to spam theirs link. Which i must say its totaly not true.

PD pay people for all the users they bring to PD using their affiliate link.

That of course incentivises people to spread their affiliate link around.

So which PD can say "we're against spam", they have their incentives lined up in exactly the opposite direction. The more widely you get your affiliate link distributed, the more you make.

If PD didn't pay affiliates, this spam wouldn't happen.

THAT is what I mean when I say they pay people to spam.

Just-Dice never paid anyone to advertise and yet attracted *far* more business than PrimeDice. That seems like a pretty clear demonstration that advertising is necessary.

The forum has been littered with PrimeDice ads in signatures for a long time, and now people are being paid to spread affiliate links too. I'm just not sure the mess caused by all this advertising is worth the rewards (and yes, I know that's hypocritical of me to say when I have an ad in my own signature; I'm going to think about whether I should stop renting out my signature).

Well as i said, that is trying to provide some extra buck to the community.
There will always be people that will try to abuse that. But i think that wont be like big % of people that will spam and abuse. And much bigger % will be happy with chance to earn some exstra profit , and not abuse it and not cause spam.

And imo its worth it. Coz i think it benefits the community more than harms it. Spam will always be there, and i know how painfull that is, been dealing with bitblackred and other spam links on pd chat for more than couple of months, yeah even links from dice sie u have in ur sig.

But again i dont thunk that is good enoug reason to not give the rest of community the chance to earn some money, just becouse couple of spammers abuse it.

Just link in general i think i have some ss of it , will show that tomorrow when i get back home.
And i rly never got why they do that. And im not saying they pay them to do so. U see many weird stuff people do for no reason . . I have lots of ss, with funny trolling, ans spams on pd chat. Even some rly stupid scam atempts.

Btw, pd mods work together with luckyb.it mods n helping each other prevent scams , and i would rly love to see more of cooperation like that betwen sites. Than just dirty competition.

What if someone starts to spam other peoples ref link to get them have 0% commission?
Now someone will ask why would someone do such thing, as already asked above, so there is couple reasons: they just want to make harm for them, example user A leaves negative feedback user B at this forum and then user B spams users A ref link to make him not to get commission.
Second scenario is someone trying to get as many people banned as possible and hoping it will be noticed and they won't get banned and then he can spam his own ref link at the same time and not to get banned, becouse it is impossible to know who is the real spammer.

Things like this would have to be settled on a case by case basis. I do not think this will be a common issue though.

I see people tiping their alts back and forth for levels non stop. Im assuming this is not the intended use lol. Make it something like max exp gained for tiping same person times x a day.

Or they are just banking it, but it feels a little spammy seeing it all the time

As far as i know tipping doesn't give any experience YET, but it may change and probably will.

As far as i know tipping doesn't give any experience YET, but it may change and probably will.
They are simply banking it...

Yeah i pointed out that issue while beta testing, there was no min tip. And it was decided to set it to 10k coz what i suggested , 50k looked like bit to much.

If its noticable abused it will probably be changed. But i dont think it will do to much damage.
Should be fine.

And yeah i dont think tiping will affect ur lvl. I tipped like .3 btc so far, i dont think my level is so high, i done alot of msgs on chat, that affects it.

My friends have had this problem also. This along with Safari. Your best bet is to go with Chrome until Firefox is working just as well. Chrome is better anyways .

Many users have had to switch to Chrome to be able to access PD3.

I hope that's true that it's working fine in chrome now. I'll check at work tomorrow but I hadn't been able tone get on for two days. Someone once said something about a hard refresh, I'll have to look into that if it's still not working on chrome as others say it's working fine for them. If I figure it out I'll post as I know I'm not the only one.

Yeah it's been working fine for me over the last 2 days. They announced a 2 minute downtime for a few hotfixes yesterday, but I just continued playing like nothing happened. No bugs or glitches either.
