Fenican's P2pool has been very reliable for me.  Much more than any others I've tried.

I personally have gotten good results with http://next.afraid.org:8119/
Just make sure if you are using cgminer to use the --thread-concurrency flag

I'm using Guiminer scrypt and i have no ideea how to connect to that pool Sad

Like i said before ---->http://digi.cryptcoins.net --- only shows 1/4 of your hashrate and only pays for that -. scam or bad server config -> i'm mining with 2700 kH/s only shows and pays for 675 kH/s  Angry

This just isn't true.  anyone else have this experience?  On my own miners its a close approximation of my hashpower.  whatever the estimates.. your accepted submits are your accepted submits.  Estimates aren't always accurate but they are close.People's misunderstandings of pplns and of waiting for blocks to confirm for payout always get complaints.

Besides, anyone who feels they are not getting what they should be.. I always will review and if need be, pay out extra out of my pocket to satisfy them if they have a good argument.. support!  sometimes things do go wrong here and there.

Hey Fenican, Not sure what is up with this but:

I was in there and getting consistent payments, and when I closed my cgminer for about 10 seconds and loaded it back up, I suddenly don't have any payments coming my way.  I also don't show up on the list at <url>/static/.  It's been about an hour now.

I also had the same issue with next.afraid.org.  I was on the list then suddenly poof, gonzo.

Is there a limited number of connections available to the p2pools?  It still appears to be accepting my shares.  Maybe 1000 or so at 13 diff (using +xxx after my username).

Anyway, I'm going to get some sleep, hopefully it's working for me in the morning.  Like the pool otherwise, if it'd only pay me out. Smiley

I've mined on "http://dgc.scryptmining.com/" until went down with 2700 kH/s ... i have 5 7950 that all go between 500 - 500 kH ... why do you thing you pool goes so slow and nobody goes there .... recheck your settings ... i know 100% this is true

I personally have gotten good results with http://next.afraid.org:8119/
Just make sure if you are using cgminer to use the --thread-concurrency flag

I'm using Guiminer scrypt and i have no ideea how to connect to that pool Sad

Assuming you are using windows.

Okay... First off you need to download cgminer. You can download it here: http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/
Go to 3.1/ and download the one ending with windows.zip
Unzip it into a folder and open that folder.
Inside the folder, right click inside the folder -> New -> Text Document
Once the text editor opens up, type this in:

cgminer --scrypt -o http://next.afraid.org:8119/ -u yourDGCaddress -p . --shaders 1280 --intensity 12 --worksize 256 -g 1 --thread-concurrency 8192

-u means username and for this one you use your DGC address, -p  means password and for this one you use "." , on the rest of the flags you can find your optimal settings for your card(s) here: https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin/wiki/Mining-hardware-comparison
To add different settings on different cards add a , in between each number such as:

cgminer --scrypt -o http://next.afraid.org:8119/ -u yourDGCaddress -p . --shaders 1280,1700 --intensity 12,13 --worksize 256 -g 1 --thread-concurrency 8192

I picked two random numbers so please don't use that number of shaders. For this, the shaders on Card 0 would be 1280 and 1700 on Card 1. Intensity on Card 0 would be 12 and 13 on Card 1. The rest will use the same settings. Such as both will use 256 as the worksize.

save the file as digitalcoins.bat
exit the text editor, double click  digitalcoins.bat and there you go.
You can tweak the shaders, intensity, and thread-concurrency to the specifications on your card or what you want your performance to be.

It takes some effort but once you get the initial work out of the way I found that it is easier to switch pools, edit settings, and get more info.

I hope this is clear enough to follow. Just message me if you have any problems.

My addy is DRRd6386Bg1scCqwQUpa4T2KWpHGtBVeSh

I would also like to know why this happens.  It seems that I run into this problem after a few hours on every p2pool that I try.  It just happened to me a little while ago on Fenican's server. One thing that I noticed when I ran "listtransactions" is that the blockhash for the last transaction before things stopped working does not appear in the list of blocks for this server.  I did find it in the list of blocks on another p2pool server that I have configured though.  My pools are configured for failover only so I am not sure how this happened.  I don't know if this is a red herring or not, but things eventually started working again after I switched to the pool that generated that blockhash, then switched back to Fenican's server and disabled the second p2pool.

Do you have multiple pools configured, by any chance?

I personally have gotten good results with http://next.afraid.org:8119/
Just make sure if you are using cgminer to use the --thread-concurrency flag

Not having any luck with next.afraid.org

50% rejected shares & intermittent server cannot be found problems.

We need some more good pools..

I always will review and if need be, pay out extra out of my pocket to satisfy them if they have a good argument.. support!  sometimes things do go wrong here and there.

cgminer reporting 1.83mh/s, only seeing high 400s onthis pool.  Been mining 2 hours.

I was sure i'm not the only one ... server only considers 1/4 of our hashing power and pays only for that also Sad

I stand corrected.. It was a misconfiguration.. the hashing will now be displayed correctly.  When it was wrong would not affect your payout since everyone was calculated the same way.  Proportions would stay same in relation to everyone else.  The mistake was when The difficulty  was changed from 15 to 63. Sorry for the misunderstanding, my mistake.

Smiley

I was getting constant payments then suddenly nothing for the past 30 minutes...

It has just happened to me again.  I was using a set difficulty of 32 by appending +0.0004883 to my address.  I thought that maybe the p2pool share difficulty may have increased high enough that most of the shares that I was submitting no longer counted so I removed the +0.0004883 from my address and restarted.  I only have 650kh so I've only been able to submit about 4 shares in the last 10 minutes, and my address is still not showing up the payouts list.

I don't know much about how p2pool accounts for shares, so I am doing a lot of guessing, but is it possible that because of all the low value shares that I submitted that the pool thinks I have been submitting too many invalid shares and is intentionally ignoring me?  If so, will things return to normal after some period of time?

Thanks.

ZeRo103, thanks for pointing out that hashing misconfiguration!  I might have gone on for much longer had I not read your post!
