Well, the update email has been sent and although there appears not to be a video available there is a step-by-step guide on how to use the new wallet.
Good thing is that there is an option (link in email) to set a different wallet address for the ICO, so you don't have to have all your NEO in the new wallet.
Changing the wallet address for the ICO.. exactly what I was hoping for! I don't like the idea of importing my wallet, so I'm just sending the NEO I want to use for this ICO to the new wallet and that's it. |

I thought I'd take the plunge and install the NEO RPX wallet and let it sync from scratch (did not copy old 'Chain' folder to speed up syncing) and it will not sync, the block heights are at 0/0 for the past hour.
I want to keep this wallet seperate form my old wallet so don't want to copy anything from the old wallet to this new one, has anyone any success at doing this ?

Does someone know, why you have to download an extra wallet?
I mean, normally you send your amount directly to an adress or contract and no one cares which wallet I use

I just installed it as well. I did copy the Chain folder over and it synced fine for me. Only problem I have now: the original Neo-gui doesn't launch any more and I have no idea why! Does someone know, why you have to download an extra wallet?

The original Neo-gui will not be updated in time for the ICO. It is kind of strange that Neo is facilitating an ICO, but cannot facilitate the wallet to hold the coin. The RPX version does look very similar with a few extras, but still, I'd prefer using the original. |

Red Pulse has released an updated NEO-GUI-RPX wallet for desktops, which should participate in the upcoming sale of RPX ...

I downloaded the new GUI and it can't install on my Windows 8 machine. Sucks because now I have to go buy Windows 10 to even try to buy into the open launch.  |

Windows 10 is free, no really it is officially free. Download the installer programme from Microsoft, see link below. I installed it onto a USB flash drive. It says on the Microsoft site that you need a licence, but only if you want to stop the small nag asking to licence Win10.. and you can't change the wallpaper. When you install it just select "I don't have a licence" and it installs Windows 10. Looking for clarification:
Since kyc whitelist is closed, what are our options to buy rpx? Didnt seem to get a clear answer on the website if they are going to sell rpx to people who are not on the whitelist. I certainly would like to grab a few before it hits the exchanges. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

even the people submitted their contact details don't know whether they are allowed to participate. so you will have to buy after it hits the exchanges |

No, you had to register for their whitelist before 7. September, only if you have done that and if you are accepted you can participate. |

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I saw the newsletter but was hoping that perhaps NEON for Linux would be ok. Let`s see if if the VM works.... |
