I think that it really needs that sweepstake option fixed, i mean the one that was the initial idea and had to be turned off to gain stability in network.
If that ever gets fixed i am sure a lot of people will find this coin very interesting.
And yeah, lightning fast transactions are great Grin

It is getting fixed. It was stated previously. Best thing that you can do now is mine, buy, hodl. Stake them SWEEP!

we are looking at all options ...

first is to remove the troublesome tor - which seems to be the main culprit here ...

the staking feature seems to be solid ... so if there are coins in your wallet - and your wallet is open and staking - watch your coins grow ...

Where can i download the Win wallet, on the following url  https://github.com/chainworksindustries/sweepstakecoin/ it isn't available anymore..

I think you can use the old wallet.

You can find it here on the old ANN thread :
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1903427

the old wallet is the only one for now ...

strasboug supplied the link for this wallet - and we will make sure it is available for download on this op - when we allocate the backend storage for sweep ...

still a lot to be done before our compile comes through for win / osx ...

Hello devs!
What is the purpose of this new thread? Why didn't you changed the content of the old one instead of creating a new one?  Anyway if the SweepStakeCoin was moved to a new thread and joined forces with ChainWorks Industries why don't you make a rework of the logo and maybe a rebrand. I don't want to be rude but the logo of the SSC is not looking very apealing from  my point of view. Sorry if I will upset you devs but this project needs some little work on the design of the logo (now it looks like a cartoon, neither the clover isn't a 4 leaf clover, neither .png image isn't) and also on the design of the announcement thread. Please take my criticism like an constructive thing.

Cheers, gawlea!

in answer to your question why? ...

because the backend setup is MUCH more important to the network than logo ...

the logo / theme that is currently used is a standard one - and so the aesthetics of the project is not as high priority as actually getting things working and stable ...

there are already designs we have looked at - and 'may' ( this does NOT mean definitely ) create a bounty for logo / theme - but as mentioned this will not be a huge priority for the time being ...

any sort of information with this WILL be published - whether we have done - or will ask for the graphic design work ...

If we want a new logo i could ask a mate of mine , one of aussies best tattoo artist and fucking amazing artist in general ..... if i asked him he could whip up a real badass logo i reckon .

really? ...

get him / her in touch with me mate ... and not just for the logo Wink ...

tanx ...

false positive ...

and if it is ANY indication - 3/64 virus detection apps were the only ones that have recognised the file as a 'possible' ... not that really is a good indication - but false positives are a part of the industry unfortunately due tot he code used in the wallet ... ircbot / mining code still exists in the wallet and will not be removed because of the functionality of the wallet ... so these warnigns will always exists as long as any of these virus scanners mark ircbot ( for nodes ) and mining code ( for solo mining ) exist ...

do be careful tho - as there could be users out there redistributing malicious code ...

we will have our git and download link ready soon - so you KNOW that what you are downloading is safe from us ...

Dev, if you're over there. I have a problem I had 1500000 sweep in my wallet, as I was mining on a dedicated server with gpu. And good until yesterday, the question is that the server where I had the wallet, had 7 hours ahead of my time zone, today when I open the wallet, and sync on my pc, I do not appear the coins I had mined in the Dedicated server, and there is no exit transaction, what can I do?

Do you see your SWEEPs in blockchain/blockexplorer? If so should just resync your wallet

exactly ...

if your wallet forked for ANY reason - and you were mining to a forked chain - it will mean that the mining was in vain and the coins you mined are not the 'real' coins of the main chain ... this means that the wallet will resync to the main chain - and correct the blockchain you have locally - showing that you coins didnt exist in the first place ...

IF however you are on the main chain - and were mining to it - do as suggested ...

check on the block explorer for you wallet and what it contains - check the transactions ... if all transactions and balance is there - just resync the wallet - which as you have probably read - will take a while before its fully synced ... so be patient ...

i dont quite understand what you are stating and asking ...

but - im assuming you are finding it difficult to mine? ...

if so - a number of decisions need to be made as to what miner - what you are going to mine - and how you are going to mine - is going to have to be answered ...

i can recommend our miner - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2054431 - as its reasonably easy to use but is limited to the algo to mine with and locked to our pools ( CWI-Pool system ) ... it also has a small 'primer' or instruction txt file that helps you to mine as well ... we are trying to make it as easy as possible with our miner CWIgm to mine ...

if there is a mining help guide - and if any one here can point you in that direction - please do ...

i hope this helps - even if only a little ...

After 36946 network is sending my wallet only orphan blocks. Lots of them... Is there any bantime or similar option to ban nodes which send orphan blocks???

The privacy characteristics of the coin make it very interesting, but it's the coin in which I have found more problems to sync in 4 years in crypto. Not a good signal...

Have you tried a real DEX??? But a real DEX like this!!!

I believe you have a working wallet link in original thread. I am just contemplating whether to download it or to wait for new wallet release.

Do you see your SWEEPs in blockchain/blockexplorer? If so should just resync your wallet

IF however you are on the main chain - and were mining to it - do as suggested ...

check on the block explorer for you wallet and what it contains - check the transactions ... if all transactions and balance is there - just resync the wallet - which as you have probably read - will take a while before its fully synced ... so be patient ...

It is impossible for my wallet to be forked, when I buy in the exchange and I received the coins. a few days before

thats why i mentioned the word IF ...

transferring from exchange to wallet means you are on the right fork ...

if you are using the vps wallet - then an easy way to check is to stop the local wallet - backup the local wallet - replace it with the vps wallet - and restart the wallet ...

see if the coins are all in there ...

still - check the wallet address against the block explorer ... see what the balance is ... if its NOT the balance you are expecting - then there has been an issue all along ...

Not a good signal...

no ...

i have no idea what you mean by a 'ban time' ...

it has been explained in an earlier post / response ...

the orphan blocks ALWAYS exists in ANY network ... and also explained before - but here it is again ... you are correct in saying this is more than others currently ... but ONLY others that have NOT forked ...

this coin forked after the first sweepstake block was found ... almost ANY coin that forks WILL have large numbers of orphan blocks that exist ... this coin is no exception ... many many MANY orphan blocks ... the wallet / daemon tries to find another node to download from - and continues to do so after a large number of orphan blocks - but EVERY node it comes across will have the same situation ... so it will continue to download the orphan blocks until the next valid block is downloaded in the blockchain ... when that happens - the rest of the blockchain is just a matter of time ...

not intending on sounding rude in anyway - but repeating myself - and others repeating themselves on the SAME issues that have been posted before - is quite monotonous and a complete waste of time for everyone involved ...

PLEASE READ the previous posts ... or even use the forum search bar in top right hand corner that bitcointalk have ...

in any case - thats the reason ... so again PATIENCE is a virtue you will need to download the blockchain from scratch - even if you are using a bootstrap ...

hope that helps ...

I believe you have a working wallet link in original thread. I am just contemplating whether to download it or to wait for new wallet release.

that wallet is fine ...

our new wallet is just going to have the added seednodes hardcoded in them for ease of sync ...

that will be the only difference from the older wallet - to the newer wallet for the time being ...

all links will be updated as we get that sorted ...
