Hello everyone.

When I see there are too many ICO and shitcoins on novaexchange. I keep asking myself: do we really need blockchain technology?

In case of Bitcoin. Of course, I agree.
What about ETH? I agree too.

But, have a look at the others on the market. I don't even know why should people use their service. There is no real use in real life.

An ad management system on blockchain? - We already had Google Ads & Facebook Ads.
A social network on blockchain? (steem) - Do we? I don't see anything but a centralized forum hosted on a random hosting using its currency to pay for the writers.

There are too many projects  that we don't really need it on blockchain.

Sometimes, I think there is a black swan (Blockchain is useless in real life) lurking around.

I will admit that many of the projects do not seem to make too much sense when seen in that light, but we need to create an alternative to centralized services, so even if some of those projects seems to be nothing more than a copy from a centralized service it is important that those projects exists so we have options, since centralization is an issue not only in the field of currencies but in many other fields as well like social media.

well, blockchain technology allows us to send quickly, with a low fee. for the time being, I was able to read several developed countries developing this technology to be utilized in the future. Hopefully this can be replicated by other countries.

In my own point of view, yes we need blockchain in our society. It is to help the lower class in the community invest and have a share on a business which is done most of the rich people. Blockchain revolutionize entrepreneurship into the next level where everyone is open to invest.
