Avalon news story so far - 8/19
chips have arrived via other routes as previously announced, we are shipping them out at the rate of 40-50k on a daily basis at the moment, in addition to the ~150k or so that went out, another 40k was shipped today. There is multiple channel which the chips are arriving from various packaging facility to minimize downtime. Please bare this in mind: while we had backup/multiple packaging companies and various delivery routes, things still will go wrong. There is also testing that must be done, then they can split, packed and sent to the EZP coupled with their CN-22 and be on their way. We will provide more update as they come. In addition, the trade-in and refunds are being processed. |

Look at this sheet and now say "good news" again - this fucking Yifu will be living dangerous soon I think. It seems this asshole sold "our" chips to some Asians. Look at some dedicated Chinese forums and you will find mass of Avalon chips for sale. Too friedcat had no problem getting new ones for his hardware. On taobao and alibaba you can find a lot of sellers what are selling chips for expensive prices. Do you think they all bought at Zefirs GB #1 https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AiLYkKIHJaIsdHpIaGdUOWRYVUdncTNpNlVKbVhCbEE#gid=0130k chips should be on the way to the customers of Avalon since 5 weeks or so. |

Dear, Customers,
After populating the new double power suply design of HEX 16 in Friday, We started testing and the board is working @450 MHz .
@ the moment We are to make 72 hour burnin test. A few minor adjustments had to be made :
-New buffering algorithm in the PIC
-A few electrolyte capacitors added
We are working on CGMiner drivers for HEX16A @ the moment .
Also We are making new sample heat sinks for HEX16 in order to provide enough cooling for OC-ed boards
As far the PCB design is now tested and any changes would be only software ( firmware) We are going to place bare PCB order in Friday.
Until the moment We have paid orders for about 500 boards @ the moment and received 2500 customer chips, that have to be populated soon.
If you have placed order and did not paid it yet , please do it until Friday if you want to get in the first batch PCB's
Again this is for HEX16 design only. The K16 design is not tested in full yet so these orders are on hold for now.
DO HAVE IN MIND THAT DELIVERY OF THE AVALON QFN48 CHIPS IS UP TO AVALON!!
But in any case these chips get here we have to be prepared to populate boards ASAP

Interesting news. Im not sure if i already got the answer so i have some questions. Sorry if i asked already.
What will be the lead time from the point you get the chips and you ship the ready made miner out?
Is overvolting and change of MHz possible through software?
Can they be chained or do all need their own usb cable?
