Sorry We removed it  as an option as there were some power conflicts.
No chaining , just use USB HUB

I received my miners today 4x HEX16A and one Nano Fury.

I tried connecting theme to windows 7 pc but non of the 4 miners are recognised as new device ...
I tried 4 different mini USB cables, i tested the mini usb cable with external HD and the HD worked.
I measured the voltage, 12VDC fans are spinning.
I tried connecting theme through USB hub (powered), direct to the USB port ... no difference.

I tried installing the drivers manualy, the serial port appears but says: device is not starting

I tried other windows 7 PC ... not recognised ...

I tried linux (raspi...) lsusb doesn't show new devices ...

Then i tried the nano fury , that worked right away ... (linux, windows,...)

I noticed that on one of the boards a smd component is not soldered on correctly ...

My order also included a TL-MR3020 this was not included ...
I asked molex connector and got terminals ...

The order dates back from: 2013-08-05 03:32:07!!! I finaly got them but they don't seem to work ...

I have several orders:
HEX16A 4x GNVJVDJUA
HEX16B: XZKTIHAQF
SHASH: BTUGUQKBB
Router: HPXZVIAHJ

im getting a bit depressed i expected the miners earlier, and now i have theme i cannot seem to get them to work.

- Is any of the chips on any of the four boards getting warm ?
- Try to locate the fuse(not sure if it has one) and check it with a multimeter.
- Measure the 12V at the power connector, follow the traces and keep on measuring until you don't measure 12V anymore. What component is between the last two measurement points ?
Make a high res picture of the loose smd part, upload it to one of the free picture sites and post a link here.

Good luck.

I am selling in stock OneStringMiner boards, based on the Bitfury chips. Have a look here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=495536.0

None of the chips are warm.

There is NO voltage over the capacitors (large one's).

12V lines seem OK.

The PIC gets 3.3V, the fan spins, no LEDs are lit ...

I am guessing the Firmware of the PIC is missing ...  Huh

Did you follow the 12V line from the power connector further on the board ?

It seems there are a few customers with same problem.
Tested here OK and then no sign of USB device with the customer.
I'm getting one tomorrow to see what is the problem.
Please send these back .
I can send you back  on my account tomorrow Express ( UPS) 4 with terminal or in Thursday 4 with molex

The LED will lit when the HEX start hashing.

I faced the similar situation when 2 of my HEX16A arrived, 1 HEX hashing & other one not detected. Not detected HEX using 1,5 m long usb cable from external HDD which work just fine with HDD, other one use 50 cm long usb cable..
