Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

At what speed are you looking to run them? Probably getting two of the pluggable 7 ports would work best for most people, or the superbag 7 port if you can find one in stock (amazon stopped stocked them.)

So this wont work if I just plug it in to my pc's usb ports?

It will, just past ~3.5 MH you'll start pulling more than an Amp from USB ports. Comes down to what kind of motherboard/computer you have...some ports are built for 2A+ per port, and others can only do 500ma before they will shut the device down because of too much power draw.

Hi guys,

I pre-ordered 10 Moonlander 2 units (super excited!) and I was wondering if this kind of HUB would be a good buy:
https://www.amazon.com/Sipolar-Black-Syncing-U-Disk-Duplicate/dp/B01KPNSYHW/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1507934914&sr=1-4&keywords=sipolar

Thank you in advance!

The description says it has 300mA per port. That means you won’t be able to overclock the stick much at all. You want one that gives around 2A per port.

Everything is pre-order right now.  I wouldn't be surprised if all places are "sold out".

I have the perfect hub on hand   it is made by eyeboot

https://www.amazon.com/Eyeboot-Port-110-120V-amps-port/dp/B01EB33JOK/ref=sr_1_58?

I can provide 4 amps  with  2 cables

and this one can  do 2 amps a port

https://www.amazon.com/Eyeboot-Port-USB-110v-220v/dp/B00JCA4ARS/ref=sr_1_33?
https://www.amazon.com/Ring-Mean-Switcher-Cable-meter/dp/B00RB645UM/ref=pd_bxgy_147_img_2?
eyeboot is run by a forum member

klintay

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=122882

I have 3 hubs from klintay  the two above and a 19 port  usb 2 model

this  will run a lot of usb sticks

with the 49 port  I found the most efficient 5 volt psu   it won't run 49 sticks  it will do  32 amps 24/7/365

https://www.trcelectronics.com/ecomm/pdf/hsp200.pdf

it is 88.5%

for more amps  less efficient

this will give 80 amps  24/7/365
 https://www.trcelectronics.com/ecomm/pdf/rsp500.pdf

I think you could do 16 sticks  each with 2 amps  it would be a very nice mining setup  with the high efficiency psu

I think you could push to 32 sticks with the 500 watt psu

Initially i thought of getting more monlanders.
Most miners i saw are old tech - or did i oversee one ?

This could be a solution too:
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B073P7J1KR/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A17E6NHH69EC1B&psc=1 if a POE Switch already existing in your env.
in combination with https://www.amazon.de/Goobay-95749-SuperSpeed-Y-USB-Kabel-externe/dp/B00H2JKHVY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1508145573&sr=8-1&keywords=USB+Dual+Power

Will this be on sale for BTC or altcoins only?  Or can I buy a few on my FIAT credit card? If so, that would be sweet!
