Is religion necessary for humans?

One less reason for wars. Religion is the reason for most wars.
Would remove alot of stupidity from education. Some treat the bible as history wich is bs
Better healthcare. Some doctors are superstisious morons that wont do some medical things because of their imaginary friend in the sky.

Religion is not necessary for us human because religion won't save us but our faith does. I believe that all religion have only one God and we are all created by Him. As long as we have a strong faith with Him and we believe that He is always with us we can do all things that are impossible. When we have a strong faith, all of our problems, anger, anxiety, sadness will be gone because we strongly believe that all things are possible because of Him!

I am an adherent of GOD. Also, I don't constrain my convictions on anybody. I spread the news, yet I regard the through and through freedom that my GOD has given to everybody. To be honest, I believe that humans do not necessarily need religion because having religion does not really mean that you are "saved". It really depends on your relationship with God and how you treat your neighbors. It is a matter of how you perceived good and avoid doing evil. Yet,  having religion is not bad. It can be used as your guide to live a better life.

Religion is for people who have to self direction If you were born with the "fear of god," you would think that it is necessary. If you were not born with the "fear of god," you are more likely to think more logically and not "spiritually." You are more likely to realize that religion and "gods" don't make any sense, making it not necessary for human survival. Religion doesn't make sense. I am not religious. In fact, I'm not even a spiritual person. And despite this, the two values I hold the most dear are compassion and empathy.

I can't agree with you. I am only nominally religious and many of my friends are either non-religious or atheist. Even being so, we are glad that we are some of the most law abiding and productive citizens of this country. On the other hand, I have seen ultra-religious people engaging in all sort of crimes, including sexual abuse and terrorism.

I think I’ve seen this very same question before. To answer it, I think religion plays a big role in society. The fear of facing eternal punishment as a consequence for doing a heinous crime is a thought people with religion cannot ignore. Hence, people would try to be as righteous as they can be thinking that their souls would be saved after death.

Yes, for me religion is necessary for humans especially those who are hopeless and needs spiritual enlightenment. There is nothing more powerful than a strong faith and a belief that God saves us from our sins. People must seek spiritual advise and need to apply the lessons of the bible. However, not all religion bring positive outcome as there are certain religion that harm people's lives and even cause their death.

I certainly agree with you. There are religions that will give us false believe about the living God but we must look for a religion that will bring us closer to God. A good religion must help us enhance our faith and personal relationship with God. It must help us know God better. Religion serves as our guide as we look for the answers for our questions.

For me as a Catholic Religion is a big yes,because if you have faith in God no matter what happen it can keep you alive and make you strong to face the obstacles in our life.For me a Religion can make one of us and especially to our family to be united.But the important is just respect an individual religion to make us peaceful life and peaceful living.
