Is religion necessary for humans?

I won't say particularly 'religion' is important. People need someone or something to believe in. Mark Zuckerberg is an atheist. Still he is a human.
Not only him, many of the researchers around the world don't believe in the existence of god, leave aside the religion. They believe in the work they are doing. They believe it is their duty to bring something new to the world.
So i would say whatever you do in your life, just BELIEVE in it. Good day.

yes, to share my experience, I been alive for many year believing in my self believing in my own capabilities, my family's beliefs, people's saying, horoscopes, and many more, my life was okay but Im searching for something because I don't feel contented on what I have, my good job, my good salary, my so-so handsome face, then there was a time I feel so lonely my sister is their, my nephew are here, my parents is with me but still, I am just a empty bottle looking for something to fill my container, then I meet a friend and he force me to join him to go to their church, I meet everyone in that day, they pray for me, I joined them the next mass, just sitting their and listening, singing with them, and I feel all the burden in my heart disappear like a bubbles, after that I continue going to church to pray, until today.

A person who live with belief from God, can live happily and joyfully, trials may come, problems may knock in your door, calamities may pass on your place, you will overcome them all, just believe that someone up their is with you, never stop praying in good time or in bad time.

First, from a religious point of view the answer is yes. Second, even if you are not religious, you have to see it is necessary. Religion inspires people to fight on and not to give up. Believing actually gives people hope, the courage and strength they need to confront the difficulties they face in life. Third, it also helps in keeping order in a society. The fact that people believe there is a great force watching them and judging them, or they will go to hell for acting badly (even though I don't believe in this last part) keeps a lot of them from immoral acts such as murders, prostitution ,promiscuous life (which can cause the spread of diseases and much more). So, religion is an important key in human survival.

So are you saying that non-religious people don't know how to live? I have to disagree with you. There are billions of non-religious people around the world, and if you look at them then you can find that their standard of living is much better than that of the religious nuts. On top of that, they save more money as there is no need to make donations to the religious bodies.
