Here's the issue. I'm a software developer myself and when I downloaded the wallet and AV picked it up, I refused to execute it. Why? well two reasons.

• 1. Too lazy to look through the source to see why AV is picking it up since my time is more valuable than that. I'm sure it's a false positive but again, I'm not spending my time looking through source when I do that all day for work.
• 2. I trade other cryptos like everyone else and I have lots of sensitive info so I'm not going to take the risk of executing something that could spawn a keylogger or something and potentially lose all my investments.

Some new trader is going to feel the same way. This should be addressed.

The problem is solved in the latest version of de wallet in GITHUB:

The problem is in the MEGA version v1.0.0.0-g Linda-qt(Windows).zip 11.446Kb .... the latest versión v1.0.1.1-g windows_qt.zip 10.935Kb in GITHUB is OK.



Check your versión:

man you are scaning the url and i am scaning the wallet file and its infected, my eset security is deleting the file .. even samething is showing on virus total . i dont know how can you are saying its 100% clean while its still infected. wallet exe is hosted on amazon server not on github  so thats why you are getting clean result in scanning url but if you upload the file in virus total then you will see

Hello, I too am experiencing my Anti-virus software picking up a threat in the wallet zip file.

It is normal for some antivirus to give false positives.

I could put more wallets but I think it has become clear simply with the BITCOIN wallet that you only seek to create confusion and demand from the developers the impossible.

You only need to run the wallet on a computer with internet connection 24/7 ... the VPN is recommended for the MASTERNODE.

I think you misread VPN for VPS. VPS is for masternodes. Though, I'd really like to know if I could stake using VPN with my internet connection?
