It's possible, I know people who are doing just that. The only problem is that you need a lot of money or coins to begin with. These people either had a lot of cash lying around, or bought BTC early on and now have enough to fool around.
I'm not advising anyone to quit a job and focus on BTC, but if you have 20+ coins and are not afraid to keep them on an exchange, you could make some cash to live by and have a lot of time for your family. If I had 100 BTC right now I'd never have to work again in my life. I'd only focus on investing.

If you buy enough bitcoins and willing to gamble, AND you win the gamble. Then yes, it is possible. You need a lot though and not many people have the luxury to buy too much.

i have more earnings on bitcoin than my actual job, but i am working so i could buy more Bitcoin.
I've came to the same conclusion this year, when the interest from holding my Bitcoins exceeded my normal yearly income. When you're working your ass off for $1000, while a sudden jump of BTC price can bring you $500 in just a few days of doing nothing, and a stupid sig campaign pays something like $400 a month for writing stuff on an Internet forum that you'd probably write anyway it really makes you wonder.  Wink

If you buy enough bitcoins and willing to gamble, AND you win the gamble. Then yes, it is possible. You need a lot though and not many people have the luxury to buy too much.

Well, I partially agree and disagree with you. Buying Bitcoin is a form of investment in which you could really earn in a matter of time. Though, If you don't have enough money to buy Bitcoin then sell your services. There are a lot of ways to earn Bitcoin, especially if you have sets of skills that are related to computer (For ex: Programming, Web Development, Animation, SEO and etc.). Also, you could join signature campaigns and do some simple jobs around this forum and earn Bitcoin.

I would like to clarify if "GAMBLE" pertains to Gambling in general or Trading/Investment. If it pertains to Gambling in general, Then it's really a bad decision. Chances of losing your Bitcoins in this industry is really High, that's why it's not advisable (I wouldn't advise you to join or engage with it) in the first place. If to Trading, Then it would be a good way to earn or grow your Bitcoin. Along with a well-planned decision then for sure that you will meet your expected ROI.

There are instances or user base experiences that they earn more in Bitcoin than their regular job and it's really possible. But, to the point to leave your Job and focus to Bitcoin is too risky. This type of industry is volatile and we can't easily predict what will happen (Though Trend reading might help but we can't be too dependent on it.) It's still better to retain your regular job as this will help you survive all through out, whenever Bitcoin's market sudden crash you still have a source of income and that is your regular job. It's very much ideal nowadays to engage in Bitcoin but treat it as your part time job. It will be more beneficial than doing two physical jobs at the same rate.

Although we often say we liked to gamble in order to win some or gain some, it is still too risky, I partially agree with it too that by working you can earn. Some other strategies people often do is trading rather than the literal gambling, even though it sounds the same, the benefits are different. In trading there are only lesser risk compared to what we literally knew about gambling.

I think it is possible to earn enough only with bitcoin Cheesy. For a Full Member rank like me I can earn aout 50$ from signature campaign everyweek and a little amount of bitcoin from other small task and social media campaigns that mean I can earn more than 200$ per month and in my country when you just graduated and working for a company maybe you can't get 200$ per month and 200$ is enough for everyone to live the whole month in my country Cheesy. That why the number of people whom quit their job to start earning bitcoin in my country is increasing everyday but not everyone succeed with this kind of earning, someone lost all of their money when they invested in HYIP Smiley

That may happen but will took time, it's only $4500 now. It can be same with your retirement at your work mate. I have plan to retire on work too ,if I can save enough maybe about 6 to 10 btc , then will continue btc activities only at home.

I was just wondering that is it possible to earn steady income without going 8-5 hours regular office job.. I mean you got some bitcoin in your wallet .. are you the enough for living ?

another option is to regularly working on Bitcoin related trading/activites .. that earn you enough amt of monthly income ..

what's your opinion

Note: this is not for poor fellow who just discovered bitcoin or altcoins

I'm not sure about that, it will be more harder without spending your own money on bitcoin. I mean, if you do trading in bitcoin, of course you need a balance. Its come from your own money or you do another job first to get bitcoin like joining signature campaign, join altcoin bounty, social bounty campaign. That all jobs can earn a steady income though every week but the amount is not really big. It's also depend on which country that you live. If in asia, i think it will be enough.

If you were one of the early adopters and if you had purchased the coins when the prices were like 5 USD or 10 USD, then you may not need to work anymore. But for the vast majority of us, who jumped into the scene late, it is not possible to live solely off Bitcoin.

As for me, yes but it is not enough. I still need more money to buy more Bitcoin. Even though I'm earning in my siganture campaigns, some part of my income from my full time job are being used for buying more Bitcoin. I want to invest more because I have high hopes in Bitcoin amd I believe that it can make me rich in the future.

If...you live in a very poor country, and had enough spammy alt accounts,
you could probably do well engaging in signature campaigns.  I do not
recommend this; I'm just saying it's feasible.

There is something to be said for 9-5 jobs.  Gets you out of the house,
gets you some social interaction, gives you a sense of purpose in life.
The only other thing that comes to mind (and has been mentioned) is
if you have a skill like programming or web design or some such.  Then
you could conceivably sell that skill for bitcoin.  The thing is, you can
sell whatever skill for cash anyway, and then you can buy bitcoin
all you want.  I don't get why exactly people feel the need to earn btc
directly.  It's unnecessary.

It's tough when you are coming out of school and have student loans to pay off and bills... but if you are making a decent enough salary, I feel it's definitely reasonable to put away $100 per month by buying Bitcoin.  I feel that is probably the safest way especially if you aren't making a whole lot.

I am one of those who are earning enough with bitcoin even if I am not employed or doesn't have a job,
For me what I am earning through bitcoin is enough since I don't have a family to support right now and I am living independently ,
But I am still giving my parents or younger sibling some money to help them.

It's kind of hard to quantify what's enough for everybody, because the bigger amount we earn, our tendency to spend more comes up. But right now, I would think that 0.3 bitcoin a month would be enough for my family since my husband has a full time job while I stay at home and take care of our son. With what I earn from my campaign, we can pay the monthly rent on apartment and pay for utility bills and buy some groceries.
