Sure it's a Kind of reward for ppl who were hodling however they also got rewarded by the decent Price increase so possibly would make sense to reward people who enter now to bind them to waves with some Kind of goodies just my 25cents I got my WCT and holding waves since a year now

Sasha made clear that WCT holders will receive more airdrops in the future, so there's enough incentive to hold your WCT.

Simply get a bunch of WCT just before the airdrop, then receive the airdrop, then sell the WCT again and return to where you came from. I'm kinda curious what effect the activation of WavesNG will have on the value of WavesGo. With a total supply of just below 10 million and a current price of around $0,26, you'd say this could be a profitable investment, especially as WavesNG is supposed to be the backbone of fast transactions on the blockchain in 2018.

I loaded up on both WCT and WGO before the climb in anticipation of the NG protocol. Got in at a price that makes it pretty difficult to lose any money, and if either of these moon for any reason it could end up paying off quite well. 10m supply on both is low enough to throw some coins at them and both will generate tokens over time too.

Gotta say my activities on the Waves DEX have been quite profitable in the last few weeks as well. Already had a bunch of WGO and decided to allocate some more funds from Waves to WGO. Only crucial thing I'm kinda missing is WCT; interesting for airdrops 'n stuff.

I also really enjoy trading on the DEX I'm a fan of nice decentralized exchanges.

Everybody will be a fan of decentralized exchanges once regulation kicks in next year.

Is 100 WCT enough for the air drop?

With 100WCT you own 0.0001% of the WCT supplies.
So you should receive 7 Liquid on the airdrop (10% held by the Liquid team, 20% burned).

in effect on their site:

"20% of the token is burned to facilitate the reduction of the token supply, providing scarcity"

why would they burn 20 % at the time of emission ? they could also print 20 % less !

That is wrong information.  20% of the token is burned after it is used by market makers.  It does not affect the airdrop. Find the info here: http://liquiditywave.org

Simply put Waves NG is "just" a different algorithm used for generating blocks, which will allow to process much more transactions/sec, making Waves much more scalable than Ethereum for instance.
As this is a quite big change, it will require a hard fork of Waves. However your old Waves will still exists on the blockchain using Waves NG, and they will still be called "Waves".
If you are not running your own node, and if your funds are stored properly (ie you own your private keys) or are on reputable exchanges, you have nothing to worry about.

I remember when people said Waves and Sasha is a big scam and everyone should stay away from this project.  (I was always thinking that they were FUDders from the beginning because nobody can be this stupid, but who knows lol)

I've been holding onto every Waves Community Tokens I have received from the airdrop and also purchased some additional ones on Tidex.  WCT will eventually pay for itself with the increase in value and also the airdrops we receive from holding them.  I heard there will be more Bitcoin Cash airdrops for WCT holders.

Next year is going to be huge for serious projects and there will be most of the markets at me all times high. Waves will be at over $50 by the end of next year. If we see investment plan to get this much profit still these markets are far more profitable to get all this is one or two years.

I dont consider this behaviour cheating. If somebody wants to do this, he can do it. As the airdrops are distributed to WCT holders, they would be distributed to someone anyhow, so it doesnt really matter who is holding the coins when the airdrop happens. If the person who does this sells his WCT again right after the airdrop, there will be someone else taking his trade and therefore become the new owner.
