5 crypto currencies to invest in 2018

I will recomend to invest in to giants as ETH, Bitcoin, NEO, Stratis and currencies which in top 20 of coinmarketcup. The best investment would be eth because a lot of new currencies trying to invent new techonolgies using ethereum blockcahin technology and we can look at graphs and see that eth increased x20 and comparing to other curenices eth are the best choice

With current coins valued above $100-300 there is no much gain, believe me, many people say you will still make good money of investing in top 10 and thats not totally true, try hitting last top 10 of the top 20.

I have been mining and holding Ethereum and am quite happy with the way it is performing, I think it is a pretty safe bet to say this coin will continue to perform well. I am less excited about the secondary coin I am set up to mine which is SIA and am thinking of changing over to something that has more opportunity to jump in value such as Decred.
 
In terms of riskier/newer coins, I have been buying DeepOnion for the last couple of weeks and I think that it will be a big hit over the next little while. Definitely plan on continuing to purchase and hold this coin.

What surprised me here is how did EOS even get this far? But anyway, everyone would expect Ripple and Iota to be in this round. Just a shame to see Litecoin fall away. I am not sure yet about 2018 investments but my current vote is for following:

1) Bitcoin
2) Waves
3) DeepOnion
4) Lisk
5) Tezos (not yet on exchanges)

And if possible somewhen potentially Filecoin. But also this one is not yet on exchanges. I am also investigating on Civic, but have not yet my mind up yet.

I'd say...
1. DeepOnion. Community-friendly, and they are launching it at the moment; you can get some for free on their forum, so, it's an infinite-ratio investment since it's free money
(seriously though, there will only be 21 million coins in circulation, so, having a few onions might be really good later on)
2. Bitcoin, ofc. This is Big Papa, banks want to buy some, so, just buy some before them and you'll rack in nice profits
3. Ethereum and anything related with their smart contracts and ECR20. It's going crazy at the moment with all theses ICOS. It's draining the market like a 50 yo stripper in New Jersey.
4. Lisk, Ripple, coins that are application-related and bank-related. Giving theses a dedicated blockchain, is the smartest idea that anyone could come up with.
5. gambling coins. Lots of people like to gamble, lots of people like bitcoins. Why not both ?

LOL! As your list are ICOs token and the risk when invest to them really high.
However, if you have some opportunities buy them in dip price, that is great decision and you will receive benefit from do that soon.
But remember, this strategy just for token did not pumped in past time after listed on exchange.

I'm planning to do an initial investment of $500 in crypto currencies. $100 for 5 separate crypto currencies. I'm thinking of XRP, Adcoin, maybe Ethereum and 2 more. Any advice related to the choice of coin?

My goal is to find at least one Unicorn which will generate me maybe $30k in the next years. Which coins would you invest most likely in to achieve this goal?

Before you invest in alt coins, you must check first about their background. Look on the solutions they're trying to solve on our current problems. Check the credibility of the people developing it. Search and Study. So my coins for long term are XEM, WAVES, STRA, NEO, LTC, ETH.

Of the ones mentioned above,STRA and NEO these look like two interesting things,at least a little more than the rest of that list.
