risk is always there in every king of trading and investment, either we are going to trading altcoin or to invest money in ICO. but i think that we can only make money from trading if we are investing our money and taking the risk. if we are not taking the risk then i do not think that we can make money from trading our investment.

Your right with that since ICO's are prone to get dump when they will be listed on its respectable exchange since there are bounty hunters will kill it, But if you bought yours whenever they offered a 50% or even larger bunos I think it is still profitable but you need to act faster so that you will be the one who early to sell yours before those hunter will came first to drop there balance off.

In my opinion buying a token from the ICO is more risky than trading. Because in ICO, we don't know what will happen with the project in future and there is no guarantee that the ICO will success as the dev and teams want.

But if we are trading then we have big chance to big profit although we can get loss too. And if we are loss, if we still holding the coin and only wait for next increasing price then the chance is always big but we don't how long wr have to wait.

I think it is more full of risk when buy token in the ico, but if the ICO is really potentials the capital of the investors could earn 200% to 1000% after the project campaign end. While in trading, the risk was very minimal compare to ICO.

Nowdays there is not much ICO which cheated their investors because most of people are smart enough to choose which good ICO and not. ICO will be only more profitable than trading when the price rising more than ICO price.

Both are risky but in my own opinion ICO's are more risky than trading. Risky because it is still new and it will take time before you could profit. There's also a chance that you'll get scammed if you don't know everything about the ICO company turning your hard earned money into nothing.
