I would still use it. Not sure how the government can really find out you are using bitcoin unless you walk around screaming about it. They could block the exchanges, but you can use proxy or VPN to go around it.
I will also still use it because I believe to the great potential of bitcoin. Furthermore, if bitcoin was banned in my country I will use it in other country and if bitcoin was banned all my efforts will be wasted so I hope bitcoin would not banned. Lastly, if bitcoin was banned it will have a negative effect in bitcoin community.

I also think that, there will be always a way. They can try to ban or block exchange sites, but they can't ban all of them. This year we saw first legalization, and except of fud topics and comments I didn't saw that some countries consider banning bitcoin. They will make some regulations, or at least try that nothing more then that. I believe that in this point bitcoin is unstoppable, to many people are involved, big companies, governments will only try to find a way to tax it somehow, and they will succeed in that I'm sure.
Bitcoin community will survive banning of bitcoin in some countries, and negative effects can only came from banning bitcoin in several countries.

What If Bitcoin is banned in your country will you still use it?

If you use it how will you? How will you exchange it and how will you completely use it as you do before.

I think that's very unlikely to happen here in the United States.  I mean, you never know, and to be honest back when I first looked at Bitcoin several years ago, I thought any significant threat to U.S. dollar hegemony would be "banned" -- either actually prohibited or regulated to death.

Now, I think they'll be more interested in taxing it.

I also think the gov't and/or Fed and/or SIFI-size banks will strongly promote their own competing "crypto".  Quotes intentional.

The U.S. government seems very interested in other applications for blockchain and distributed ledger more generally.  And frankly, they could use it.  Some of the IT systems I'm aware of in the government are ancient and extremely fragile.

Government people don't think with the same mentality as business people, at least not here in the U.S.  The system doesn't incentivize cost savings -- they have to "use it or lose it" (their annual appropriation).  They also don't have to worry about bringing in customers or making sales, money just magically appears in their accounts on October 1 of every year.

There's so much potential to disrupt the status quo, both to streamline and benefit the government, and also to decentralize the control they currently wield.

It's very exciting.

(Finally, in the unlikely event that they did prohibit it, I'd form a business in another jurisdiction and continue on my merry way.  If they choose, they can fight change -- but they can't stop it.)

Dream it. Plan it. Build it.

I don't know if how will be the situations when something like that happens, but for what i feel i think i will use it even if it gets banned in my country. Because i don't think anyone can know if i use bitcoins even now, nor later they will. If i find situations not suitable for it, then i have no way but to leave using it at the end.

If bitcoin was banned on our country, I will not use it. I will lock it down in a cold wallet and i will secure my private keys or maybe hand it over to my kids someday, Yeah sure you can use tor or VPN's but you will never know when will you be caught. Never under estimate your government's ability on their implementation of the law. Remember what happened to silk road? The FBI were able to confiscate almost 26,000 bitcoins from the costumers. We don't know how they'd do that, but we must be aware of what they can do about law abiders.

Why? How about looking for someone to turn it into cash? And maybe just giving him a percentage of it just so he will not rob you. An escrow should also be present just to be sure.
Then, maybe a money transfer thru a bank is possible just so you could get your investment back. It will a waste if nothing will happen to the capital that you have worked hard for.

If that is the case then I will use it another country. I know that there might be some countries that has hesitations accepting btc but I'm confident that it's very impossible for my country to ban it.

Yes my country at this time seems always support bitcoin. If bitcoin is prohibited I will not worry, I can still use bitcoin with access abroad. If it is prohibited I am sure there will still be many who want to receive bitcoin and sell services exchanges, although not officially basically bitcoin is a digital currency that can be used by anyone and anywhere. No one can ban digital use. Many ways to outsmart the use of bitcoin.

You don't need to think about stuff like this. It is inevitable that Bitcoin will be banned in some areas... just keep using it and sharing and it will grow.

Everything is possible as there is a possibility that bitcoin will go to 10k usd there is a possibility that Bitcoin will banned

but i think that will happen Bitcoin is banned in one case If the Internet is stopped .
Yes nothing is impossible in this a femoral and transient world it is possible that bitcoin will be banned but is it not an easy job as bitcoin is getting too much popularity among the people involved in it but if this occur then we should not be disappointed from the terrible situation and I think that we should not rely on bitcoin but I think that this will never and never occur.

I think it will still be used. But likely the user base will decrease slowly as it will get harder to use and people would prefer convenience. Be carefull be succes!
Yeah right, I think it still works because the previous admin already give information if banned only within 3 hours. But if you've been warned and after you make the mistake again either did not follow regulations or you misinterpreting something then your account will be banned permanently and you will not be able to do anything. your words properly if you want to succeed they must be cautious and always pay attention to the direction. and to be successful it needs to struggle and patience.

Well, your country is amazing, my country does not seem to care too much about bitcoin, but recently they have seen the price of bitcoin rise very high and they are more interested in it. However, they are only interested in finding ways to tax bitcoin, the government of my country is really bad people, they only know the money and money, they do not need to know the value and potential of bitcoin. Bitcoin can not be banned unless turn off the internet, so I was not too worried about this problem

I am quite sure that you can send Bitcoin via sms. If you have the code for the Bitcoin I think you can access it. I read that on a link somewhere. I also read that you could send Bitcoin via email. Look here is the link for that: https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/articles/971437

Plus, Bitcoin’s network is decentralised. It is not connected to any governments or banks. This means that governments have no real control over Bitcoin. Sure, they can ban Bitcoin within their constitution or legislations, but in truth, people will still be able to use Bitcoin. Take for example, Ecuador. A while ago Ecuador implemented a national “cryptocurrency” and banned Bitcoin, but people still use Bitcoin.

Bitcoin bans are isolated examples in just few countries and in the future it will be even less. The tendency even by governemnts and central banks is acceptance, not baning. No use of ban, that will not stop people to use bitcoins. Too big importance is given to this China case and suddenly everybody thinks that all countries in the world are going to ban bitcoin. This is ridiculous.

Hello,as per my perception if Bitcoin is banned it will be a very hard era as of there will be no soft currency it will lead to many problems as which usually come up with the hard currencies.

I will still use it. I think, there were lots of ways to do so. Or withdraw all of it before its banned. If I have many, I'll move to another country then withdraw it all.

If bitcoin will be banned in my country, then I have to let go of bitcoin, because I have no choice but to find another thing that can be a source of money as a student. As long as it's legal in my country, I will be using because it is really helpful in my financial needs.
