Bitcoin is the first product of the Blockchain but we should not keep it limited to the financial use only. There is tremendous scope for this technology in multiple sectors. A bank in India is working on Blockchain technology to use it for their internal transactions to make it faster. Sweden is working on a blockchain powered land registry. There are some sectors where Blockchain could prove extremely useful so I see a good scope for it in those sectors.

Blockchain will be a new level of trust, but we shouldn't use it everywhere, just in spheres, where it is needed.

Changes will occur for sure, technology is advancing at a very quick rate. Whatever happens it has to improve and evolve.

I think it will be called unblockchain because many people are blocked on it thats why it is called blockchain.

But you never know they may block you while having the name unblockchain.

so far blockhain Technology is the following:
- bitcoin as the biggest thing that anyone knows. it is on a large scale, a lot of users, a lot of usages, and high value.
- altcoins which have many innovations among them. but majority of them are pump and dumps wasting resources to just exist and have a value that goes up and down with manipulation. the good projects are dying because they fail to pump and dump.
- banks and other financial groups working on making their own centralized blockchains. this can also help improve but since it will be closed source I wouldn't keep my hopes up.

obviously each of these have room to grow even more. bitcoin to get adopted more and add new features, altcoins to explore the new territories that are beyond bitcoin's scope and they are.

Interesting point there!  Wish you could help list those good projects.
Maybe they are ahead of their time or still under development?  People would still use something that solves current problem.

Well, I can see the future of blockchain with good development. It will evolve as many users wanted it to be improved its system. I hope it will less transaction fees and improve the slow confirmation. And ofcourse blockchain it has a bright future ahead and it has more improvement.

A distributive ledger supported by a multitude of corresponding banks can reduce counterparty risk, transaction times, and fees. A distributive ledger is shared by these banks so that they can use it as a replacement for rtgs (SWIFT, CHAPS) and for retail remittance. It uses the founding principles of the BTC blockchain but blocks are "premined" meaning algorithms come to a consensus instead of "paying" people to mine the blocks. This reduces the risk of having humans mine and is much more energy and time efficient. A distributive ledger applied correctly can ultimately help the bottom line for financial institutions. This is only one aspect of a distributive ledger. More similar tech is being built in insurance (smart contracts), exchanges, loans, repos, to name a few, ultimately in hopes to improve efficiency and security.
What do you know about the Internet? Do you understand how the Internet works? There are a lot of things out there that I don't understand but have revolutionized the world.

Good day,

As per Vitalik Buterin said during TechCrunch Disrupt 2017: "The technology of block chain will be able to catch up and replace the Visa payment network soon".
I'm not sure how soon, but it looks rather realistic in close future. What do you think?

Let's see together, it should be pretty interesting. Smiley

Will be able to catch up soon - might be right, but not in a few months time. Replace the Visa payment network soon - might not be right, because VISA processes way much more transactions per second that current blockchain systems together. Somewhere I saw something like we would need at least 8Mb size blocks to process that amount of VISA transactions, but there's the American Express payment network, that also counts. And for everything else, there's MasterCard Smiley

The future of blockchain technology is bright indeed.
We have just begun applying this technology and its possibilities are endless - it has no boundaries.
The only barrier will be our imagination.
Of course authoritarian governments will try to oppose it and the globalist elite will try to tame it but these efforts will almost certainly fail.
Blockchain in many ways is similar to torrent file sharing. It's unstoppable.
Everyone should seek ways on how to apply this technology in all aspects of modern life.

Blockchains future isn't fully obvious yet but currency tokens like BTC are IMO going to be only a fraction of the interesting part of the story.

On top of the obvious currency elements, where I am sure there are many who are far more expert than I, consider the implications of smart contracts for a moment. essentially, on top of many other features, smart contracts are essentially distributed containers like mini versions of Docker. This means that instead of "wasting" electricity mining coin, a more interesting use is that miners can provide distributed computing, storage, etc, etc.

This could, in theory, turn a "spare" cycle on your phone (plus 7 billion others) into a massively parallel computing engine. Imagine what that could do running a machine learning algo!

Projects on Ethereum like Golem (which promises to be the "Airbnb for computers") and EOS which is more commercial in nature are already working on these type of things. Whether these individual projects succeed or fail is not the point, somebody will make this work.

In addition to this, there are several other people working on projects with goals which are just as big and audacious.

I really think we have seen nothing yet, the best analogy I can come up with is "we are in a phase like the internet when people thought it was cool for sending and receiving email, but hadn't yet come up with the WWW or much of the other cool stuff we now take for granted"

What do you think is future of Blockchain technology? Where do you see this in next 8-10 years?
I think as the future is of a digital currency like bitcoin, and for holding them in some specific account you will have to touch in with blockchain, because this is the way where you can generate an account I mean a bitcoin wallet.

It is just like a bank where you open your account to keep your money in that and withdraw any time when needed. The same is here with blockchain.

I believe the advanced technology of the blockchain will be widely adopted by many of the world's banking systems, because nowadays the increasingly sophisticated and easy times also benefit the users

Changes occuring in block chain:
1.Blockchain will be adopted by central banks and cryptographically and secured currencies will becime widely used.
2.nasdaq will launch blockchain-enabled digital ledger technology that will be used to expand and enhance the equity management capabilities
3.internet on things technology will help to opearate block chain which further manage automated interactions with the external world-anything from ordering and paying for food
4.can reduce UBS's infracture cost

I think that the blockchain will become a part of this world without any doubt. AS you can see, the blockchain technology has proven that it can make the world better by improving many things on this world. Bitcoin is one of the examples. Bitcoin can make the world better with its system such as the anonymity, the security and the speed of transaction inside. Therefore, I can guarantee that blockchain will definitely play an important role in our future life

Blockchain is the future and every government and institutions will use this technology. As its safe and data is cryptographically secure and as network build the encryption gets strong.

reaching that capacity alone is not enough. yes we can right now create a centralized huge server (master node) that holds a gigantic blockchain and handle a large number of daily transactions but that is going to be useless because it is not decentralized. and that is what we are aiming for.

There is a FOMO brewing...

i have to say about the blockchain that the future of blockchain is ruined because no one even knows about blockchain the good future is only oc bitcoins because millions of people are investing in bitcoins because it is the most trust able and safe way to earn money.

I envision blockchain dismantling industries where monopolies that currently control the pace of the technology that's growing there just so they can milk out the consumer. Imagine a blockchain internet where satellites provide users free internet, hotspots and satellite owners stake a coin and get rewarded for contributing to the system but the end user has free access to the world wide web!
