I dont know for sure some countries prohibit the circulation and use of bitcoin. I think this is concerned with banks and crimes, such as money laundering. but I dont know, most are started from the bank and maybe the problem is the bank.

There's a lot of reasons why some government ban bitcoin.The main reason is that the government dont want    it because it has a potential threat to them.And they dont want to compete with it.

Smart governments understand a new era of digital money before it happens like Estonia.They want to create a digital currency called Estacoin.Also government offered to exchange for euro without any hassle. European Commission doesnt let them to make a new crypto if you are smart to  understand the reason behind it..

I think some governments think that Bitcoin will badly affect their economy and fiat currencies, and have many doubts about it as it is a decentralized digital currency not controlled by them, so they try to ban it. But their ideas are wrong. Bitcoin is already helping so many unemployed people around the world (and especially in the poor countries) to get an extra income.

In my own point of view, maybe the government in other countries ban bitcoin because maybe they think bitcoin is a bad thing to make as a source of income and thinking that bitcoin can use for illegal activities, so it turns out for banning bitcoin and it will also affects in deceeasing it's price.

Governments see danger to their system in bitcoin. We can call bitcoin as wild currency and decentralized, so, money simply passing through the government services without staying in that. They say us that they ban bitcoin for our safety, but in fact they ban it more for they own, cause of bitcoin has finely gave us  that financial freedom and self business that we couldn't get from the government.

it could be one of many reasons, but i can see that only china recently so anxiety, they afraid their investor go out from local business looking for bitcoin benefit. and it's make them really worry, the simple step are by ban them with various false reasons behind. other than that some countries just not yet ready adopting an advanced technology like bitcoin i think.

They are just taking precautionary measure i guess.  Since the government is unaware of the possible affect of Bitcoin to their economy or citizend and witnessing the current boom of ICO's, being skeptical about it, they need to make sure that their citizen is protected from exploits and fraud so the best approach would be banning it, before studying it.  Once they saw that it is a good thing they can lift the ban anytime letting bitcoin to be legal in the country.

Some countries prohibit its citizens to use it because bitcoin has been use before in illegal activities that was uncovered by the authorities and they are afraid that its citizens will have an idea of using it for the same purpose. Because of its anonymity, some people who do something unlawful prefer to use it instead of payment option that is traceable and that's why some media also emphasize more the negativity of using bitcoin and other crypto that's why others prefer not to be involved with it.

It is tyre, that bitcoin could be used in come illegal transaction like buying guns, drugs in the internet or the deep Web interface. it is really simple, bitcoin and cryptos are just the opposite than banks.. Banks wants to have the full information about you, your bussiness, and they want you to be in debt with them. Bitcoin is the opposite to that, you have fully control of your money, investments, information, and you are 100% anonymous. Because they are afraid that cryptocurrencies will rule the world economy and replace fiat in future if its population tends to increase more and more day by day. They don't want some decentralized currencies to be the national currency because they don't have any control on decentralized currencies and they can't keep an eye on public money.
Bitcoin isn't bad thing but due to some criminal mind people a negative image has been built about it. It doesn't seems practical that it can be used to locate us and see what we are doing.

Bitcoin is decentralised meaning there will be no third party in transactions pertaining to banks. If everyone are encourage to adopt it then government will not have any benefit from it. Yeah thats right. It could be the reason. And they only see bitcoin like a bad currency for people in their countries and it can ruin their life and it can only make their life miserable which leads to bad in economic growth of the country.

i dont really think unstable prices has anything to do with it, there's just no justification for a government to go off of to ban anything because of its volatility. I think at first, it could have been valid to make the point that the government did not have a good grasp of what bitcoin is, but it's not really the case anymore. at this point, any major government should be well aware of bitcoin, its uses, and its inner workings. going off of that, if there was to be a reason for a government to ban bitcoin in at this time, it would be because bitcoin poses an economical threat to that government. for example, a more authoritarian government might not like the idea of a decentralized currency being used by a majority of its people, because they cannot control it.

Other countries do ban bitcoin because they wanted to control the use of the crypto currency as well as the fiat money in their country. Just like in China as a communist country they wanted to control and manage the money or income of all their citizen.
