Bitcoin is worldwide. If any country ban it, it can not stop bitcoin to move to next level as it is working worldwide.

I guess the best answer to that question is of course a BIG NO! Granted, China is a big contributor for the rise and adoption of Bitcoin and they are primarily the country involved with Bitcoin mining due to very cheap electricity cost.

Now, the Chinese government has its own agenda and I think in the long run Bitcoin can be running against those agenda so they are now thinking of slowly disengaging and disconnecting their citizens away from the cryptocurrency platform.

I know that whatever China will decide on the impact can be heavy on the market and this is shown with the recent decision banning the ICO projects and the unconfirmed total ban of Bitcoin exchanges though it is still a rumor and nobody would want to confirm.

Can cryptocurrency still go on and have a very optimistic future even without China as part of the equation?

It is the other way around. China will die because of Bitcoin. How can a country with Trillions of Dollars in debt kill Bitcoin.

Nope,I don't think so bitcoin would survive even without China,
Bitcoin could survive as long as there are investors,
But I think it would really be a huge effect in bitcoin if China leaves it.

Totally NO. Because bitcoin users are not only from china. if china citizens don't use bitcoin again it will become their disadvantage because they will let others country to take their domination of bitcoin.
Investors and developers are not just from china. there is so many from another's country. so i'm sure bitcoin will never die because of china

bitcoin is now like the internet of currency, i dont think bitcoin will die..
I also think that it is impossible for cryptocurrency world to die because of China's reasons. Bitcoin's death can only be caused by demand and the Internet. But as long as these two factors exist, I think Bitcoin will not die.

Any action from China tends to affect the price of bitcoin, and this will always be the case. But killing it altogether is not possible. But china is important t the growth of bitcoin, while they cant kill it, they can slow down its progress.

I don't think bitcoin will die but it will create a big hole on the system of cryptocurrencies as majority of crypto-miners are from China. It will really have an impact on the transactions of cryptocurrencies, transactions speed for sure will become slower and fees might get higher if its government imposed a total ban. Let us also forget that a lot Chinese are into cryptos so they will for sure sell all their coins and that will make the market unbalanced,if that happens we might see a huge drop in the value of all cryptos.
But definitely Bitcoin and other altcoins will not die and it will continue to exist and find a way to correct  this imbalances.

Probably NO and that's for sure. It has already been tested that bitcoin rises even more after it went down following China's decision to ban ICO and Bitcoin. That indicates that bitcoin can still surge high even without china.

In my opinion and through experience, I will say no. China has been a major contributor to the rise of bitcoin as an asset and as a currency, but with bitcoin's current state and power right now? I guess it wouldn't hurt so bad. The value may decrease, but it is certain that bitcoin will not fall just because china prohibited the use of cryptocurrencies.

I think China will change its stand againts Bitcoin may be they will soften thier policy instead they want control on the transaction, because bitcoin is benificial to a country were people patronized it . Because Bitcoin will improve countries economy Bitcoin is comparable to any powerfull currency of the world like US dollars Euro and some other currency. And still Bitcoin stay stronger even if China will ban bitcoin because still many country welcome it and considered a powerfull currency.

I dont think so we knowns that China is one of richest country and more investors thats why in terms of economics they successful. But its not an issues in bitcoin. We are globally competitive enough in terms of cryptosystem so nothing to worry. BTC is now a big assets to everyone user.

I remember btc jeopardy in China ever since the start of first boom in 2013. Whatever happens in China will most likely have short term impact on btc price but from long term perspective it won't do much harm, as the industry always recovers. The whole idea is decentralized society, few centralized efforts by local institutions is not enough to cause harm. It will make the btc only stronger.

The Chinese government effectively blocked Bitcoin and, once the measure was taken, would result in the bitcoin branching into Chinese bitcoin and non-Chinese bitcoin. Others said that if China can take many steps and even root out the blame by discarding blockchain data, then bitcoin would be a truly catastrophic end.

China government does not want to finish the Coin market. They want to advertise Neo Coin is the coin  they support. It is a China coin. But the decline of bitcoin is indirectly affecting Neo Coin. İf BTC die , NEO die.  Smiley

In my own opinion, China cannot kill bitcoin directly. China can decrease bitcoins price due to it's regulations for their citizens but, a lot of users and investors are not from China, anyway.

Bitcoin will not die because of China's prohibition.

Although BTC is banned in China, Chinese traders continue to trade through some technical means!

In Japan in east Asia, BTC is legal, and Japan is already the most traded country in the world using BTC!

It will never happen by that way. Without China Bitcoin and other coin still alive.
Without China people in the world still live well.
Without China it would have very bad to market but just in short time maybe 1 year.
But it will bounce back...
