Hello,

I wanted to make an update.

1. We have covered all the initial roadmap other than messaging.

2. We have successfully programmed z_address into the MyBitcoinZ wallet. Which allows for zero knowledge transactions from your mobile, or desktop computer.

3. With z_address you can add a memo, I am currently programming a messenger which will work on the BitcoinZ blockchain utilizing z_address and zero knowledge transactions from your mobile or desktop.
    This means you can message other z_addresses with zero knowledge, and real privacy. The cost for each message is 0.0001 the current transaction fee.

    There will be an update to the MyBitcoinZ wallet on all platforms soon, which will fix the USD conversion rate to BTCZ and some other fixes and conflicts addressed in the update.
    After this update, the next update will have the z_address wallet functions which you can send and receive transactions with the zkSNARKs technology.
    The third update, which will be in the first quarter of 2018. Will hold messaging functions.

4. BitcoinZ Masquerade is still in the works, it will require another chain which takes the contracts and automates and matches all transactions. This is serious and well thought out. I would expect this
    to be released in a testing phase with Bitcoin, in the third quarter of 2018.

All of these are serious milestones for crypto. As we have never seen zkSNARKs in action on a mobile phone, nor BitcoinZ linked to an exchange blockchain which automates 'exchange' transactions to other crypto.

Guys don't get high hopes so soon. Coin is super new, needs a lot of work and step by step. Let's be honest will be some time before major exchange list it. You need to prepare with patience. We will have some lower exchanges soon. Step by step we will get there if we all do something, it's a community coin so we all have to do whatever we can..

Anyone know why? Some prospectors grabbing a bunch of coins in case this goes big in future, getting in while there's still a large number of coins at low difficulty thanks to still relatively small number of miners?

Someone probably bought a chunk of NiceHash hashing power and pointed it this way.  So the jump in difficulty should be temporary, or at least intermittent.  This is probably not a terrible thing as it means someone thinks BitcoinZ is worth investing in.

I mine on Mingspeed pool and when my payouts dropped today I checked their pool stats here https://pool.miningspeed.com/workers.  The top miner had far and away more hashing power than anyone else.  I clicked on their address and that is where the image came from.

To give them an unsolicited plug, their stats pages are quite nice and I am pleased with the pool.  It is a nice middle ground -- small enough that you are not lost yet big enough that they find a block several times an hour.

As to why mine vs buy, I can only speculate that they think they can mine it more cost effectively (cheaply?) than they can buy it.  Or maybe they worried that they could not buy that much without driving up the price.

The difficulty of Bitcoin Z has decreased again today. We should take advantage and try to mine it as much as possible. It gonna be pumped in the future. I am also waiting for more good news from developers such as roadmap, whitepaper, new products, new features, etc. Please look at what ZEN cash has got recent days.
