Faced the following problem, I get an error when opening the wallet: Unexpected error: java.io.IOException: error: could not connect to server: EOF reached (code1) (make sure server is running and you connecting to the correct RPC part) at com.vaklinov.zcashui.ZCashClientCaller.getDaemonRawRuntimeInfo(ZCashClientCaller.java:172) at com.vaklinov.zcashui.StartupProgressDialog.waitForStartup(StartupProgressDialog.java:131) at com.vaklinov.zcashui.ZCashUI.main(ZCashUI.java:557) Somebody knows how to fix this error?
I get the same error after my Windows crashed when opening the wallet. Anyone who can help? I also had problems with Windows before that, it was probably some virus attack on crypto wallets. We must look for kriptografi to fix the error, I suppose. My wallet didn't synchronized yesterday after working fine for weeks, I was stuck at 99.96%, today I opened it and got the same error. I got my wallet synchronizing again after these steps: 1. Go to C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Roaming\BitcoinZ 2. Remove the blocks, chainstate and database folders. DO NOT REMOVE wallet.dat(these are your wallet adresses and you should have a backup from it already, also you should have the private key from each adres written down) 3. Start your BitcoinZwallet again and it will synchronize from scratch. It's a pain in the bum I know and it took me over an hour to synchronize again, but I didn't see any other workaround. I'm not that tech savy and didn't want to wait for an answer because I'm buying shitloads of BitcoinZ from the exchanges and need my wallet with the z-adresses. No problem here with the 2 versions of the BTCz wallet : Windows wallet and Ubuntu wallet. Building process is not so easy that with some other wallet, but the github repository has all the explanations. Very surprising of the number of issues with users : what is the explanation ?

Have the same problem with mybitcoinzwallet..."insight error"..."error 504"..."cant update wallet"...I think mybitcoinz is a scam Been using it for months. Just moved 50k btcz a few minutes ago....no problems lately. Not a scam. Hello friends! Same error here too :/ After deleting folders, and downloading again the blocks, it's works... until you close/reopen the wallet and the same error appear again :/

I think that the good answer to your question is : a lot of coins has unlimited supply and theorically, these coins has 0 value. But, in the exchanges, you see some of these coins with a big marketcap, even very big marketcap (for example, Ripple, number 2 in the crypto worl for the mark cap, just behind BTC). Then, you understand that is important is limited or unlimited max supply : all the rest is question of decimals. BTCz has limited max supply and to compare it to BTC, you only to divide by 1000 the brc value. For example 10,000 $ for 1 BTC is equal to 10 $ for 1 BTCz or 1,000 BTCz for 1 BTC or 0,001 BTC for 1 BTCz.

Hmm, no problem here. Closed it for an hour, reopened it, waited for synchronizing and it worked. But seeing the issues people have, they should look into it. :/

But Is it the good cmdline??? not sure. -reindex argument is for zcashd, not BitcoinZWallet.jar. Thanks NameTaken Running "zcashd.exe -reindex" reload blocks from scratch as well, but the problem remains after a restart... try this one solution from telegram [telegram] <Nakipzhan> Hey, everyone! For all who had a problem with not syncing GUI wallet (Swing wallet) there is a solution: 1). download a blockchain bootstrap from: https://s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/cryptochainer/blockchains/BitcoinZ_blockchain.zip2) delete all excluding wallet.dat (!) in ../AppData/Roaming/BitcoinZ 3) extract downloaded zip file into BitcoinZ directory 4) start bitcoinz-wallet.exe (1.0.1.2) or bitcoinz-wallet.bat (1.0.1.4) 5) enjoy!

Hi guys, a new problem occurred this morning to my wallet 1.1.0.4. (win64 - win8.1) and still the same problem now.. A general unexpected critical error has occurred: error: couldn't connect to server: EOF reached (code1) (make sure server is running and you are connecting to the correct RPC port) See the console/logfile output for more detailed error information! What can i do now? I cannot find the wallet.dat file. Where is it?
