We definitely need a dedicated wallet, MEW is not a secure place to hold our tokens. Decentralized exchange is very good but the wallet appears to be a priority 1 for the further development.

And a working block-explorer for the transactions tracking

Once you have access to your private key  there is no matter where you store  it. MEW is nod bad at all.

I use Parity with configuration file from first post.

Just want to let everyone get the news: Due to concerns of security, I won't be able to finish the decentralized exchange myself in this month. Note that DEX is indeed possible through the currently deployed BTC relay. Yet DEX development has been staled for a long time and it lacks any kind of security audit.

But I'll try to get Ellaism to other crypto exchanges (this is something I cannot promise a date for). If you are eager to trade Ellaism, you can help by requesting the coin on the exchange you use.

Upcoming Ellaism network upgrade on around 3 August, 2018. Please upgrade your nodes! Learn more at https://wiki.ellaism.org/hardfork

Noob question: If this coin is Etherum based, that means it uses dag file for mining right? So, whats the minimum GPU memmory size for mining? Is it 3 GB like Etherum?

It is early epoch now, so you may to mine on 2 Gb cards. You are in the beginning again. Enjoy mining.

Thinking about how I can improve Ellaism. Setup node? Other things?

I can confirm 2G cards work fine.

In fact, I'm still getting reasonable shares (a few hundred Ella a day) on a vanilla Geforce 1050.

Coin is very minable right now, and worth jumping on if you want to put some low end hardware to use.

Ella dies or not is depends on us. Dev wrote in first post, the coin is totally community-driven.  Ella is in early stages now, there are lots work to do but dev has been done a lot.  Its No pre-mine, so its hard to be full time job.

If we look at mining pool, miners still mine this coin. Network hashrates increase. I discussed with dev about Ella listing in exchange yesterday.

So if we give support, this coin will growing fast.

imho

Don't want it to die, I mined about 1000 of these so hold it!

Amazing...
