Make your own research , but you can never be sure for 100% this is not scam . There is always a risk to loose , as well as possibility to gain .

Yup, that's why you do a super thorough reserach and invest only when 100% confident.
100% confident and 30% for risk Wink. You can't have 100% chance to get profit from ICO, sometime, I can put 70% for risk because some ICO projects have many problems not clearly and FUD. But, almost these projects helped me earned huge profits, AirToken and VIBE are these project, I have bought these tokens at low price.

I usually do some research, but the most important is the team and the vision of their project. make sure they have a team and a clear vision, so the chances of the scam will be small

Some scam projects can have a good team and to assert that they have a clear vision. I think now the success of ICO is estimated by the level of hype around its project. In the meantime one of the indicators of level of hype is the number of users in their Telegram channel

to know the ICO is Scam or not,  it's good to learn the roadmap of their project, The most important thing in the campaign is the campaign manager the higher the risks and you have to give trust, one of the points that you can convince the powerful ICO and the development they are doing for the project, so we do not lose due to investing in failed projects or often called a scam.

checking all the teams in the ico project is the most important. and you need to know again is not too quick to believe in the big bonuses that ico offered. sometimes to attract investors, ico promises big bonuses and profits, whereas ico is not necessarily a success. the important thing is to stay cautious. hope you are always lucky  Wink

There is no absolutely safe thing in the world. And to make it more safe, I will prefer to read the white paper and research the history of the memebers to see if they are able to make the coin a good one.

That's right  there's a lot of ICO and that's confusing,  it's necessary to look at what innovation the project has brought among many ICOs. It is also necessary to examine the stage of the project, the road map and certainly the biographies of the people on the team.

their so many ICO's now a days we hardly recognize if it is scam or not because scammer is very smart. to avoid of being scam do a research regarding their ico project. check the road map, managing team, and more about their project.

first team
make sure the team and the developer are trustworthy people

then community
make sure the community of an ICO project can answer questions from people who doubt their project

third rating from ICOBENCH
on ICOBENCH, the rating is submitted by some expert blockchain, so it can be a consideration for investors

fourth escrow
fund raising using safer escrow services

I tried different things to know if something is good or not on ICO's but still being unlucky for i have been scammed a lot of times.Reading through the campaign and looking and checking out its team and also the manager can be a thing.

If you want to know if it is scam though we aren't be 100% sure about it. But you may see it at earliest times those who are obvious. Check the website and have a background check to the CEO and other members of the dev team. Make sure they have the credibility. Look at the whitepaper and its roadmap.

Scams are not the only risk. Even good and ambitious projects can fail. Either in development but even with a finished product. Even a finished product may be unusable, unacceptable on the market, or simply poorly marketed.

Personally, first thing I check is the ICOs website, is it secured? Then I check if the team members are listed on their website, I Google each team members name and also check their LinkedIn profile to see how experienced they are. Also check if they have credible Advisors e.g. Vitalik Butterin or Charlie Lee or someone with a great track record. I check their social media presence, when was the account created? Are the accounts run by a robot?etc. Also read their whitepaper, is it realistic? can it be achieved? How many competitors do they have?
These are just the few things I check but still doesn't make the ICO 100% legit but at least it's like 70%.

A lot of ICOs out now raising millions of dollars through public and private sales. This is the dream for both investors, developers and also scammers.
To be sure about any ICO you want to invest in means to make thorough and intensive research before committing your funds.
Leave no stone unturned and make sure you are not following the crowd by investing in any project.
You can never be 100% sure but always check for a working prototype and investigate extensively their roadmap.

The best thing to do if you want to know if that ICO's you want to invest is Scam or not is doing some research about their project and read their whitepaper or you can check their social page if they have more follower or investor that they want to invest their project also. Anyways, that's what i'm doing if i want to invest in new ICO's.

you need to read all the information they have give to you and research it whether its true or not. find news about their ico. if there is nothing about them and no particular information that can support the project they do I suggest to stay away from that ico cause it have a high probability of scam. read whitepaper and doing chat in telegram seems good choices to find out if the ico are real or fake.

One word - Research.

Look into everything they offer, ask them questions, see what the flaws are and what are the positives. Don't rush into an investment and only invest what you can afford to invest. There are too many people throwing a lot of money without thinking.
