To be honest with you, it's not that easy. If you want to know if an ICO is a scam or not, you should do your own research. Like the other guy said, read whitepapers which is very essential to your over all conclusion.

we can predict a good ico project by looking at the portfolio of projects they spend on their website if their explanation is good then maybe ico is not a scam

I really do not know how to really see if an ICO is a scam or not. There are some projects that are good but some are stopping because they are acheiving the full amount to be raised.Think of the team or the manager and check out their roadmap.

So many new ICO, and they all have new idea and tech listed on their webpages,

and even the websites use the same template...

but so many new ICO, how to check if it's scam, or worth to invest...
That is really hard to tell to be honest. But there are some aspects to check to somehow reduce the risk of participating on Scam ICOs such as the background of the team which I think is the most important especially with the credibility of the people behind a certain project and also, if the updates on the ICO is convincing to be true, if it's weird, immediately cancel investing into it.

That is the risk in investing in ICO it can be scam or not, make sure you verify first the people behind it if they are existing or not. You can check their linked in accounts. You also have to check the roadmaps and whitepaper, the social media accounts like twitter, fb and telegram. And lastly if you are still not quite sure about the ico you are investing... make sure to only invest the money that you can afford to lose.

Research. No way to be 100% certain, but read whitepapers, talk to devs, etc. The less info you can find, the greater likelihood of a scam.

It is true that scammers runs a work all over the world, but the good thing to do is to researh becasue it proves the identity 100%. Well ICO's is known if it is legit. If you joined into a bounty campaign you will be paid by ICO in which you can converted into Fiat money or hol until it will grow higer its up to you. Their are different strategies to know if it is true to all or scam, just read an updates to know the real status behind it.

As everyone probably has said, research is the main clue. And then here some advices you might take advantage of;

1)https://icorating.com/ Follow this website and compare.

2) Actually you are on the right way as you are currently reading / writing on this website. bitcointalk.org is an quality source that you could take benefit of.

3) Have a twitter account and follow trustworthy guys and the coins that you would like to invest in. There are many manipulations here, that is why you should read more and more and take a decision on your own.

Hope it helps.

If you have experience in investing in ICO then you will quickly find good projects for investment. The path of loss have all successful investors. You need to be able to analyze the failures in order to bypass the bad projects in the future.

If you wish to invest in some ICO which is not hyped and popular you need to make investigation, check team members and there profiles in social pages, check project history and read very carefully WhitePaper. Regards.

The best way is to read their Whitepaper and check if the company or project really needs Blockchain technology or they are just trying to get money and run.

You Check the whitepaper, team background "Knowledge about the project / blockchain" / the website spelling / looks if its hard work put in its hard to spot mistake / no mistakes. How transparent are they? allowing you to meet them go their HQ? clear detailed road map and source code of project? this are the key points to take note if you're into ICO.

Make sure that you read a lot prior to an investment. There are many scams out there but there are also many valuable projects. Check youtube channels, reddit and bitcointalk threads, see predictions, reviews, and place your judgment. For example, I invest in companies with credible records. For example:
Cointed, Giftz, RestartEnergy, Titanium, ATF, and Knowledge. Out of them, there are both ongoing and upcoming projects. You might wanna check them out. Good luck!

I really like your choice of ICOs. Since you mentioned, I will ask you: Have you seen David Moadel's review of Giftz? It looks like a really promising project, and David is one of my favourite Crypto talkers, he's right almost every single time. In that review he reads the whitepaper and goes into details on each topic. I was already a fan of the project before that, but after the video it made me even happier about my investment.

To select an ICO project that is not fraudulent, you need to review all available information about this ICO and its team. However, nothing will give one hundred percent success. There are also good projects that do not achieve their goals. Therefore, there will be a certain degree of risk of investing in the ICO.

For the analysis of ICO projects services such as Icodrops are well suited that expose the rating of projects.
Of course, you need to carefully study Whitepaper, the development team, and become familiar with the activity in social networks.
Particular attention should be given to the objectives of the project and their usefulness for people.

90 % of startups are failing. Check out the team and the concept. pls be aware of hypes, if the projects sound too great with a lot of promises but without an MVP such project most likely will fail. and always check the  road map and road map applicable or not before investment.

Speaking of scam, there's one which is called Benebit. They are primarily focused on customer loyalty thing, and they've been around for a while. However, due that it was discovered that the pictures of the team were actually stolen from a school's website. As a result, the entire team (which they originally based in India per their claim in Telegram) are running away with the money of the poor investors.

Not all ICOs are legit, but not all are scam either. If you want to know if that ICO is scam or not, don't just believe by looking at the team members. Try to check if they had actual videos from themselves promoting their ICO, or they are present in such cryptocurrency events.

Scam projects will often make bold claims about their product even though said project offers nothing new or disruptive. It’s not likely that a certain blockchain platform or cryptocurrency will end poverty, fix global warming or replace the internet.

Spotting good ICOs are painful in the ass so you'll need to spend more time for research which those aren't scams and fraud.
In my own opinion one of the most effective way to spot good ICOs is through their Telegram channel community because good ICO or coin have good telegram channel especially when there are more active members you'll be able to see their discussions, announcements and other related or not related topics.
Telegram channel cannot be purge because most of the channel members are real people.
