Bitcoin Gold is just a scam. Proven now. Stay away!
The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Bitcoingold is infact a scam and an attempt to milk the Crypto community out of their money, please don't fall into this scam and don't buy bitcoingold, dump it and let others know you can even do.

Sold BitcoinCash too early, sticking with this one for now ..

LOL, another N00b account shilling not to dump this garbage. LOL

BTG==Scam
BCH==True Fork with utility

They should not even be used in the same sentence, and I don't even support BCH over BTC.

Wow, one scam (BCH) calling another scam (BTG) a scam LOL.

Reading comprehension issues? Let me help you. I've never owned BCH.

you are right. they wont have enough BTC to pump the price like the BTC-Cash gang did.

i just sent all my BTG stored on my ledger to an exchange. i will change them to BTC. and after i that i wont look back.

BCH was an actual fork! Not a pre-mined snapshot Scam. Jesus are you people this daft or just trying to perpetuate a lie?

I want to ask a question to everybody.

I know that btg price is going down day by day...but i'm wondering: is there a chance that is gonna rise like bch price have done? If not, why?

If you read this thread you will find you answer.

You can not blame a 3rd party for not taking part in a scam.

BTG should have done it, they copied the entire Bitcoin code anyway, so why not Electrum, it is open source.

This is a 100% scam operation. Glad to be out of it.

Is it a shitcoin? Most likely.

Is it gonna pump some day? You bet.

It's a good move to dump now. It's free money.

It could also be a good move to hang on to. Some day it might surprise you. If it don't then it was still free money.

The exchanges Bitfinex, Binance and Yobit should go over to real coins from futures and open deposits.

Bitcoingold is obviously not going anywhere. i was thinking we are going to have the same episode we had with bitcoinb cash. I was dead wrong. I have not seen any third party wallet provider yet. If you are looking for bitcoin gold wallet you may check it's website if it is available.

You need to download their core wallet, that comes with a full download of the BTC blockchain and 150GB of wasted space and time. Then you need to import your private key into the BTG wallet. Move your BTC to another address/key to secure them before you do that.

Once you have your BTG, it took me a total of almost 2 days, good luck with finding an exchange where you could sell them. So for only HiBTC seems to accept deposits.

I really liked the idea of BTG. But, I think it is a dead coin so I wouldn't recommend investing there.

HitBTC is accepting deposit.

And if you want to redeem your BTG from the snapshot, you can use Electrum.

Thank you!  This is exactly what I was hoping for!  Thank you for responding.

Thanks

No, you can't use Electrum. It is for BTC only.

There was an unofficial fork from some third party, unauthorized and may well be eating your BTC, if you throw your private key on it. Up to you Smiley

fast and secure procedure ......

you can simple import private key in COINOMI wallet ...

and hodl on it of if you prefer you can send the btg to an Exchange for trading it
( for now only Hitbtc give the opportunity to deposit and withdraw btg ... )

p.s.

be careful ... always use the dual btc sending to another new and never used disposable address before moving a private key to coinomi .... uses the only linked address for btg so as to avoid future btc thefts from the linked address as suggested by Madmac  ... and NEVER USE IT AGAIN for your bitcoin the same private address / key you used to transfer btg to coinomi ...that before transfer to coinomi should not contain btc but ONLY btg ( a kind of disposable address ) , i hope i have been exhausted enough ...
