in the past yes but for now I really avoid ICO because it has a very big risk, in my opinion most of the people do the same thing and prefer IEO as great option for safer buying (but only IEO on top altcoins)

Not only you, but most people also aren't interested in ICO anymore. They prefer to choose IEO, or a project that provides both ICO and IEO for their token initial sales. We rarely heard a project can be successful in fundraising or provide a token sale if the team only has ICO. Nowadays, even if a project has ICO, they will also provide IEO after the ICO phase. - The general reason for being choosy is also due to the high risk ratio of ICO projects, in recent years, it has not been possible to have a few more successful and outstanding projects in the market, development teams that are based on ICOs can only be bleak and disappear from the market, it's sad that we have to say farewell to an era that is profitable for us. IEO are the most recent trend of this era, but signs of weakness are also spreading, people are probably heading for a new and more exciting form every year

Are you picky with ICOs?
everyone will definitely choose the best. because everyone does not want them to lose and feel cheated. especially now there are so many ICOs that are scam and there are some that don't reach the minimum sales so that the ICO must be stopped by the developer. so it is an obligation for those of us who participate in the ICO to choose the best from the many ICOs that are run.

I'm more of careful and picky when it comes to ICO's, cause so many of them eventually end up scamming their investors, that's why investors no longer trust ICO projects like they did back in 2018 before the scam started, however a few ICO's still do well even with the current trust issues with ICO's, that's why being picky will help you not to lose your money to those scam. ICO's out there.

You have to be very picky when it comes to ICOs. It is not an option to be just nonchalant about your analysis when it comes to ICOs because the largest percentage of new projects are either scams or low quality projects and due diligence is the only way you can avoid losing your money in the ICO market

ICO are no longer relevant. Now all the hype goes on decentralization. First, it is more convenient, and second, there are fewer risks of being deceived. And so the essence is basically the same. Study the project before investing or it will be like roulette

Study the project before investing or it will be like roulette I think the ICO is best to join as it is decentralized, competing equally among everyone. ICOs are no longer attractive because of regulations as well as the influence of new forms of capital mobilization such as IDO, IEO. The projects that have held a successful ICO that I know of recently are RADIX. They held their own ICO and have fully raised their hard cap. Current projects that want to successfully raise ICOs to need a lot of money to organize marketing, so choosing IEO or IDO will be easier to approach. Whether participating in the ICO, IEO or IDO, the research before the project is the most important thing.

In 2021 I am no more interested in ICOs. There era is almost over now. I am rather happy to invest in solid altcoins like Eth, Cardano, Litecoin. ICOs in my opinion are not worthy for investment, since 1 in thousand got success.
If I remember correctly, ICOs have been almost dead since the start of 2018 when China and India implemented controls and regulations to prevent cryptocurrencies, and bitcoin has gone down ever since. Obviously without fire there would be no smoke. A series of ICOs only with dreams and deception, appropriating billions of dollars of investors. Currently, ICOs still exist according to the organizational requirements of each individual project, but it is gradually replaced by IEO, IDO ... thoroughly explored. Your money, keep it and develop it with your knowledge and wisdom. Don't let the movement provoke, open your eyes and think!

In general, it looks dead because the success rate is very low compared to another fundraising platform. During its popularity, we are seeing a lot of money going into ICO, but now its reputation is destroyed and actually, we only have few altcoins that are successful now which are coming from ICO. Probably 5% or less is only the success rate of ICO overall.

yes of course I am very picky with ico, because I have had some experiences myself seeing a failed ico, quite a lot of time and effort was wasted, so now I don't want that to happen again, and try to find the best and potential ico In my opinion

Does that still exist? Honestly ICOs are pretty much done. 99% of them are scams operating with opaque presale procedures and unfair pricing that nobody can verify. Once they go live the premine and presale coins for special seed investors and advisors get dumped. Game over for anyone else who bought in public sale. It worked in 2017 because there was enough capital to absorb the illegal dumps of those scammers.
