Serious question.  Has there ever been a worse exchange than this one?  I know other exchanges have turned pure scam and just ran away with everyone's money, ignoring those though; I'm wondering if a scenario like this has happened before.  Because to me it seems like some kind of joke, it's just one thing after another.

I don't know but this one is really making a lot of people unhappy to say the very least.  They open the site up and so far it seems that only one coin is allowed to be withdrawn even though they say they will open up the other coins.  It has been 5 days since they opened the ECA wallet.  How long do the rest of us have to wait?  I'm sick of the excuses, just want my coins back.  Give us the coins back and tell us when your site is functional again.  This is pretty basic humanity.

ECA is not a shitcoin. ECA withdrawals are enabled because ECA devs try to press legal action to CONSmarkets.

though ECA is also a fast coin that's why it's prioritized.

Listen to yourself. ECA is Coinsmarkets. Why would they take those threats seriously and not other threats? And why haven't they released more coins at this point? Fucking wake up. Someone set up a bounty and link it here. It's time for blood... it's fucking March.

I've seen a lot of worse exchanges. Mostly new ones. Like Freiexchange.

And yes, this scenario has happened before with CoinsMarkets in September last year. Although back then they were only offline for about 1-2 weeks. Also upgrading their servers, but back then their volume in trades were still low and they didn't have too much trouble with Databases.

I have visited TradeSatoshi yesterday and no trades could be made. buy/sell orders took forever and
never completed. NovaExchange should be trading again by 2018-03-01 but their trade-engine is still
offline I mailed them and they responded that they are still not ready to handle all traffic securely.

It seems to be very difficult to handle the current large amount of cryptocoin traders at exchanges.

I've seen a lot of worse exchanges. Mostly new ones. Like Freiexchange.

Worse does not mean low volume. Worse means an exchange deletes a withdrawal option when it experiences self-made "problem". FreiExchange is a good young exchange but with low volume except Freicoin. It updated yesterday and it had posted a notification when and how long it would not work because of updating. FreiExchange has Telegram Channels https://t.me/freicoin, https://t.me/freiexchange, Forum https://freicoinalliance.com in contrast to  CONSmarkets. FreiExchange is registered  https://www.whois.com/whois/freiexchange.com  to the real person, Fredrik Bodin, unlike secret owners of CONSmarkets.
So, I would not compare FreiExchange with CONSmarkets.

No. But NovaExchange has Deposit disabled so that trading is virtually impossible.
I have requested them to remove it but they are not willing to do so for the moment.

Novaexchange has been closed a long time ago. havent you recieved an email from them? they already warned their users via email before they completely shut down the site. coinsmarket.com in the other hand is a good exchange in my own opiniom because i actually used it before when i try to trade my altcoin but right now i havent visited their site anymore because i decided to quit trading alts due lack of funds but i still do invest in bitcoins.

These guys are actively justifying a 50m$ theft. Claiming they had/have no role. They are also actively promoting an on going scam. Posting this information is a mater of public record.
A warning to all future investors of ECA and the exchanges this coin is traded on. They move Eca from scam exchange to scam exchange, changing a font and some colors. But the exchange backend is the same.

Coinscontrol, Coinsmarkets, coinhouse all have the same result. Deposits are enabled, Withdrawals are only enabled for small amounts. Until they close down exchanges completely leaving traders in the dust. The next scam is Crypto-Bridge.org

It's been a week since they released ECA, no other coin followed and no other coin will either. It is crystal clear that Coinsmarkets and ECA are definitely involved with one another or are the same entity. Either way they know one and another. Rest of us all lost their coins there, we will never see it back. The time for waiting is over, its been 3 months, so either some action is going to be taken or coinsmarkets will keep on dragging us around on their chain of lies untill we get tired and wander away. This is why you can still see all the coins in the blockchain, they are waiting untill no one is bothering them anymore before they take away all the coins. Because if you happen to get their real identification and get to sue them, it will be hard to proof they scammed us since they have not touched any of the coins yet, so their lies of we were trying to get it back to working might uphold in court. So that is the only real reason why they haven't touched any of the coins yet, they are waiting us out. As soon as no one bothers them anymore all the coins will be touched and used by them. They got nothing to lose while waiting anyway, the rest of us are losing their time and money.
