Who can destroy Bitcoin ?

Bitcoin is growing very powerfully but in this present scenario which factors can destroy or make its market value Zero.

If government puts ban on it then it can disappear in one day! Just imagine complete ban on it and the blockchain technology would be chaos and so many people will loose the money. But I believe there is nothing like that will happen from government side as they believe in the blockchain technology too and might just be implementing with their future too.

If we go beyond that then I would like to think of any coin that has got potential may destroy bitcoin. I mean supposedly if the coin gets more popularity than the bitcoin and people start moving towards it then that can happen in the first place.

I think as of now no one can destroy bitcoin because it is very well known in different part of the world because of the benefits and also the profit that you can have because of bitcoin. That is why i am hoping that it will last forever.

In my opinion, there are two factors that can destroy Bicoin. First is the government. Because the government can always make a law that can ban anything which includes Bitcoin. And they will do this because they simply want to get the money or wealth of Bitcoin.

Second is the rising of new cryptocurrency because it can bring down Bitcoin. Investors might sell their Bitcoins which may drop its price and demand and buy the other cryptocurrency.

Since bitcoin is considered like gold nowadays what it would take to destroy it is something more valuable so probably another cryptocurrency that uses a more advanced code or just something better than the current blockchain technology, else i dont see it getting destroyed.

People out here saying it is not possible to destroy bitcoin, it is not like bitcoin cannot be destroyed but the chances are bleak for that to happen. Possibility one - Global Internet shutdown. Possibility two - other famed economists give up on bitcoins and start bashing it and the value of bitcoin goes super low and people just stop using bitcoin.

The only moment in which bitcoin can die, is if all the presidents or a grup of massive powerful people start to spread fud all over the world in order to make bitcoin fall, so this would definetely be the death of bitcoin , the same if governments decide to do the same, the price will probably fall for more than two thousands and everybody would be panicking after that

They can make the public marketplace of Bitcoin stopped, but they can not stop the marketplace in deepweb or private. Bitcoin like drug, although the government also have many rule and will catch anyone trade it, but drugs still can trade anywhere.

I also think that bitcoin can be destroyed only when people lose interest in it. But I doubt that it can ever happen. It will not happen exactly in the near future

Hello author and others! On my opinion this is mad mad world and here can happens everything you cannot just imagine and assume in your life. Yes of course bitcoin is very powerful, interesting, popular but anyways I have such formula - 90% you can to presuppose but 10% no - it  can be crazy  scenario like in horror written by Steven King that you couldnt even imagine ever.

No single entity can bring down bitcoin and I think anything that does bring down bitcoin will cause much bigger problems then to worry about bitcoins.
Destroying bitcoin will be like destroying the internet and peoples freedom. It just won't happen. People will never stand for it.

The only thing that can destroy bitcoin is the people itself, if the people stop using bitcoin itself then that would be the end of bitcoin but it is unlikely to happen because people shows how they trust and support bitcoin. If they dont bitcoin would never survive the hardforks, china ICO's ban, bubble, new ivestors and government regulations. All of these has been surpassed by bitcoin and no altcoin has ever dobe this in the history of crypto currency except bitcoin.
