I hope nothing will destroy bitcoin. Bitcoin is very popular now and will not be destroyed. the popularity of bitcoin makes it stronger and stronger.

It is obvious the only thing that can destroy or make this digital currency stop is we, the users. Bitcoin is mainly dependent on it's users and investors or holders. If the users and investors all in all dumped their bitcoin you will be seeing the price dump so hard. As it has a high possibility of having a price of $10K, it also have the possibility of going down, but with a low level of possibility of happening.

the dollar is not getting stronger. In fact, the bitcoin is not gaining value. Since the crisis of 2008, america has pressed 2 trillion dollars for no charge. This figure is the same amount as the dollar reserve in the shin of China. The dollar decreases the value of dollars in the market by decreasing the purchasing power in the market.ın this position noting can destroy bitcoin. I think we can talk about how bitcoin destroying dolar:)

Many economists comment a negative about bitcoin because bitcoin have no real asset and true value. So question comes up like this subject that who can destroy bitcoin. The only thing that can destroy bitcoin is when there is no more energy or power that mines bitcoin.

But they say that Satoshi Nakamoto has a lot of bitcoin accumulated with the premined. I think if he (or them) wanted to put the bitcoin on. But against his own interest?

Looks like no-one is understanding your question.

The direct answer to your question, is yes, you can “destroy” bitcoin but not in the traditional sense.

The blockchain holds a record of the coins that get sent in and out of an address. The only way to send coins out of an address is to use the private key that created that address. No private key, no ability to send or verify those coins.

One could potentially “destroy” coins by sending them to an address that has no private key, or to simply send it to yourself and erase all copies of your own private key. This will result in those coins being lost in that address forever effectively destroying them.

Though technically speaking, there’s no real way to confirm that you’ve deleted all copies of a private key.

Agencies that can quit or battle to bring a finish to bitcoin along with other crypto currencies are the government, anti--fraud companies and any other bodies that combat crypto. These can fight, which might possibly result in victory or perhaps a loss. Closing OF THE INTERNET  will be the only final response to end the existence of bitcoin and crypto currencies.

Indeed. No one can destroy but I think there some instances that bitcoin would die. I guess if no one invest in bitcoin or no one use it will probably die. I think if there's no internet bitcoin will also die because it is the most important thing that you need if you want to use or access bitcoin.

By destroying I will define as a take a bitcoin (an entire unit) and destroy it. In theory the action of destroy is possible.

Use an invalid address with no private key: Just send bitcoins to an invalid address. For example: Bitcoin Address 1CounterpartyXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXUWLpVr
Use bitcoins to send data (notary document ownership or some ID). See Why New Forms of Spam Could Bloat Bitcoin's Block Chain
In theory, you’re not destroying bitcoins but in practice, you’re almost burning these bitcoins.

Every thing can and eventually will be stopped. It's just a matter of time. But who knows when the time of Bitcoin will come?

I think Bitcoin has grown so big that at this point, Bitcoin is the only thing that could destroy Bitcoin. I am not against forks (and I am not supporting it too) but I do see that if we don't put our efforts into improving Bitcoin from user's side, developer's side and work on the current issues in order to resolve those issues then we don't need anyone to destroy it for us. I don't see any external factor as strong as internal factors having the capacity to destroy Bitcoin, to be honest.

Whoever that person I do not know for sure, but I do not think anyone can destroy bitcoin, because bitcoin is very strong and bitcoin will be hard to destroy, and seen from its development more and more people use bitcoin as an investment, so if for example will destroy it there is a right reason , if bitcoin does not harm the country why it must be destroyed.

I read that a quantum computer can kill bitcoins. I do not want to believe in it. Do you think this is a serious threat to the Crypto currency?

I think the possibility of this happening is very low.
It's never zero.
But BTC has reduced prices, but doubled again.
BTC price is increasing day by day It has become more popular and hopefully it will become more popular in the future.

Unless all countries in the world ban ICOs, there is nothing can reduce the Bitcoin to zero or destroy it.
