I'm not sure whether bitcoin is changing the world right now. But, I'm sure bitcoin will change the world, the way we live, etc if it's adopted globally.  It will be a new form of globalization.

Actually the biggest fear of a country in regard of bitcoin is that there own currency will go down by accepting thing. Secondly they have not so good hold on their mass and are not able to educate their mind properly so the blame bitcoin for their fault. Only that many are yet to start using it. Agree with you especially with the blockchain technology. For me, blockchain is one of the best inventions that ever made. Blockchain has many advantages. For example, the transaction on blockchain is encrypted, secured and decentralized so nobody can manipulated the transaction. Some of banks in my country also started developing blockchain with IBM helps.
Travel also could be easier with bitcoin so you dont need to trade your local currency. But there's only a few merchants that accept bitcoin even in Japan itself as the country where bitcoin is legal. (based on my friend's experienced who travelled there).
