LOL, never follow the advice to buy sand from a person who lives in the middle of desert. Every single coin/token is a total gamble, and like with all gambling the chances are that you will only lose. So yes, you're wholly to blame if you thought that following their advice is a good idea. Granted this scam is getting pretty hilarious.

I still not receive the new token, and how you gonna compensate for those who are buying without knowing anything of your problem.

I  believe there must be way out of this, but you must handle carefully. I hope all owner will get their 1 to 1 exchange regardless from who they got. Because that is not their mistake, and if you not compensate them, there will be disaster for them because consider burning their eth for this token.
