In my opinion it is not expensive because it is comparable to the developer's struggle that has made bitcoin with a very good system. Mining bitcoin also requires a lot of cost in terms of electricity usage and tools to mine, so I'm not surprised by the bitcoin price you say it's expensive. Bitcoin prices are comparable to security, anonymity and decentralization.

I think the price of bitcoin depends on the market, if demand is high then the selling price is high and if demand is low so the price is low. Another reason for today's technology is to transfer money anonymously. Who does not want it to be true and decentralized so you hold your money for as long as you want without anyone intervening.
