Hi Guys,

Im pretty keen to understand more about ICOs and intend to invest in some.
ANY recommended ICOs and any advise how you guys determine whether is it a legit or Scam?

Thanks in advance.

It really depends from project to project... You always want to read over their whitepaper/road-map/etc, check out their dev team, and see their exposure in the media. Right now one of my favorite upcoming ICO's, they actually have a presale going on right now, is Lamden Tau. Great concept backed by a solid team team of developers who really know what they are doing. There has been news that they just signed a big marketing contract and I am just waiting to moon haha

99% of ICOs are designed for one purpose only - and that is to enrich the creator(s). In other words, yes, most of them are scams.

However, there are plenty of legit ICOs out there too. You just need to be very careful about which ones you choose to invest in. Do a lot of research in terms of the development team, whitepaper, road-map, etc. to gauge how successful you think it will be and then decide.
thats it,your the one who must be responsible on checking which
IcO is legit or scam..another option to know if they are legit is THE TEAM
BEHIND THE ICO..every single individual that has been in the profile must
be reliable so you should background check then all.

Most of the ICOs that are created by the owner of the ICOs project are to make money ownself only because they know that people will have the ICOs system as an option to make money and they will surely invest in Thier project easily , and also people are doing the same thing to make money .
But in actual only few of the ICOs are legit Because in my whole life of Cryptocurrency I seen that ICOs not easily launch their project offically and suddenly , they amke first money then they think whether to make the project or not that take much time .
Here my suggestion for you to check about the ICOs throughout , about its owner , reviews , technology they are going to use , anything different in the concept of Thier ICOs that is making different from other , or they are just running ICOs .

Even legit ICOs are failing nowadays so i prefer not joining any ICOs i will just buy the coin after the ICO is done because the price is much cheaper in those days.

legit or scam depend on your choice Smiley. Cause there are a lot of ICO projects but the number of scam project is better than legit project so it'll be fine if you can choose the right one to invest in. But everyday I can see a lot of people trapped by investing in scam project just because they don't have much experience in this earning way Smiley.

Yes. We can trust ICO's but not all. There are few points to be remembered before investing in any ICO. Money invested in ICO is not guaranteed. But there will be some ICO's with potential product and revenues. We can't say that the ICO is legit just by looking at their whitepaper and website. Nowadays it is easy to create website and a shit idea and a whitepaper and make investors believe in it.But we have analyze their behaviour and see if they have professional tone and are managing everything perfect.
Unfortunately only a few projects are realized and investors get from them their profit. Many ICOs are not planned as scam, simply their products do not interest people. In many countries ICOs are prohibited, these projects have no legal status there. It is always a great risk to invest into a new ICO. But! You can be lucky!

There is so many ICO'S that are poping up anywhere this days and some of them have proven to be great and legit and some other's are scam that people are exposing here on bitcoin. I'd say if you want to invest and you want the safest way, i recommend just going with bitcoin and ETH. For sure they are legit and the safest way to go with.

for sure, don't put all your ETH in to ICO's but do have read and discover for yourself. there are many which are scams I'm sure, but there are many which are genuine and do have a good business plan and great intentions to reward investors. ICO's have changed the world of investment and are very different from IPO's in the real world.

Some will succeed ( and we believe ours is one), others will struggle and some will fail. I've seen some who have wild business/profit expectations from what is after all, a relatively brand new technology.

LOTS OF ETHEREUM ENS (.eth) NAMES AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE, CONTACT FOR DETAILS.

Hard to find good ico in these day. I saw many ico have high paying bounties program to promote their ico, after rising lots of money, they go away and left the project.
I think not all ICO like that you can still easily find a potential ICO and have a good project. so you should do your research first before choosing ICO. I think there are many tips that have been spread which ICO is right to buy. essentially ICO legit or scam it depends on your smart in choosing the ico

Most ICOs today came from nowhere, no credible team and project is basically copies from previous ICOs.  I recommend the one in my signature, LHCrypto.  The ICO is launch by Larson&Holz, an international brokerage group of companies who's been in business for many years.  The project is based on a business model that have worked successfully for years too.  Check out the bonuses they offer specially the CASHBACK.  This will really be profitable to all investors.

AFAIK we have some legit ICOs and of course some scam projects that are only interested in the money aspect and will disappear immediately after collecting these funds
any advise how you guys determine whether is it a legit or Scam?
My recommendation that comes to determining the right project is finding projects with team members that have a digital footprint that can be easily traced on recognizable platforms like LinkedIn if not that their past work should have easy reference and if possible the ICO should have a prototype of a project before crowd sourcing.

If you want to know if an ICO is legit or is Scam, there few question you need to ask yourself. Are crypto enthusiast involve in the ICO? Does the ICO have a community? Is there problem or improvement that the ICO is trying to solve? The question to ask could go on and on but you will eventually be certain about your decision if you research where you want to put your money!

i saw many topic is similar this topic. I can definitely 90% ICOs is scam however many ICOs have good project and ICOs will give big profit for investor who invest in. So how to avoid scam ICOs ? First you should research ICO which you want to participate to. Research about Team, Technology, Product, Roadmap... after you should go round this forum and view value of people who is many of experience to know you should invest in the ICO or not.

The ICO scene is blowing up right now and people are jumping in without looking.

Sadly when an alternative finance for a startup are taking shape, they all jump in whether or not they actually suit that type of finance. I happened with crowdsourcing as well.

So of course there are some bad projects / scams but you just have to do your homework and research them throughly. You have to remember that for a company to launch an ICO it still requires some time and capital to do it, so if there is very little to the ICO then they are clearly just doing it to get a quick pay day.

When you find an ICO that you like, start looking into the team, ask questions, read the white paper and ask yourself "why do they need blockchain technology / tokens?" if the response is just for an ICO then avoid.
