Bitcoin market share is still very large and hard to beat the other coins so it becomes the main choice for investment, I prefer bitcoin because the wallet is more secure and uncomplicated like Ethereum.

if you see the chart of comparing the bitcoin and ethereum. the ethereum was a little by little only it falling down unlike the bitcoin the falling down value of it is really rapidly. and like you said the potential increase of the two currencies we see that the ethereum have an advantage.but in terms of security the bitcoin is more safer than the ethereum because bitcoin has a bitcoin wallet .and in the online and black market i think the bitcoin is mostly or commonly used to buy everything in the online.

In my mind I treat them as two very different things. I invest in BTC as for me it's a long-term store of wealth and I invest in Ethereum because I think it could possibly be the backbone of web 3.0 and that people will be using it without even realising on various different applications.

It is really difficult to predict between this two top crypto, but iguess bitcoin has a lot more promising future because it ismostly used worldwide and most known crypto. Cant underestimate eth too thus, eth is second to bitcoin in terms of popularity and price.

Interesting ask. It is clear that bitcoin was and will be the first. But I personally prefer to use ether. Maybe because most of my bounty payments are tradable on etherium. And I also hope for the big growth of the ether regarding bitcoin.

If I had to compare, I believe that bitcoin has a lot more potential than ETH because the value of bitcoin is very large and when it increments a few percent it has a different value.

Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency that people have been associated with and so it is common for crypto enthusiasts to use and support bitcoin. But there are reasons why Ethereum was created and this is highlighted by its founders profoundly. Now it is upto the users to decide whether to use bitcoin or ethereum and what to invest in. Both are good and both are having a good future. But what to invest depends on the discretion of the trader and not what one thinks as good or bad.

Yes, it is the base for the entire digital currency. Ethereum got developed following bitcoin, but on a different platform. Bitcoin's growth has been realized long back, whereas ethereum gave a big price pumping by this year. Well, bitcoin may be superior, because btc is a symbol of cryptocurrency, moreover the same as the platform. however, most new altcoins use eth as a platform. but I guess bitcoin is still better than eth.

The smart contracts are cool but how much people really understand it?
And looking at myself, I wouldn't accept a contract that I don't understand the principal of.

For me Bitcoin and Ethereum are not comparable due to usage of different platform or technologies. Based on my observation altcoins are dependent on Bitcoin so I think they both have promising future but I prefer Bitcoin over Ethereum. Bitcoin has bigger community and is used and accepted by most countries all over the world compared to ETH. ETH needs more updates and upgrades for now to meet the worlds expectation. Investing into these popular crypto is profitable and is safer than any other.

As I see in the forums,opinions,deep informations,and also what I see it is bitcoin,why?The largest amount of users and investors,and in Philippines over a million people trusted and uses bitcoin and ethereum is just starting and just few knows ethereum in the Philippines and all over the world.The most popular and the general cryptocurrency used in local market and also to the market of crypto.Many things have bitcoin done in the world that's why I can say that bitcoin is very essential, although ethereum is what they say that will be the next and upcoming cryptocurrency,still it is very far to bitcoin.So I can say that bitcoin is better.

I like that two because that two is on the top market cap but their chain are different into each other. In about security, I will choose bitcoin and ethereu is only second. Bitcoin wallet is different from Bitcoin crypto-currency. Wallet is a third party service. And the safety and reliability of them varies from one provider to another. And some wallet providers are providing services to store both Bitcoin and Ethereum. For example Blockchain.info is able to store both BTC and ETH now. So are you claiming that Blockchain.info is secure for storing BTC, but insecure for storing ETH.

He is right. It is not about the wallet. Maybe he is just comparing two wallets.
Something like Electrum and MEW. This is way different so it cannot be compares.
Yes it is secured with Electrum but there are still forces who are trying to make a fake just like what they did with MEW with just a change in letter of the website.
That is the problem sometimes if it is just a website. Better get an application which will not make error with typing.

bitcoin is my first choice because it is more profitable than ethereum, I'm glad because until now bitcoin keeps rising in price so I get a profit.
