Is there any hard date for when the snapshot will be for the SHL airdrop? Medium blog made it seem pretty vague as to exactly when it would happen...Initial news really pumped up the price, but price is pulling back hard now, and this has the looks of something that could be rebought at a lower price for the airdrop if its not coming within the next few days.

I have been in crypto less than a year but PRL and SHL as part of the oyster project have more going for them than most airdrops and ICOs. The team is active the community loves the token and the concept. What I don't get is why people aren't going mad for it?
I have seen so many with no white paper, njo road map, faulty contracts, cut and paste ANNs and runaway scamming Devs that have had more hype and coin value than Oyster, I don't get it?
Can anyone enlighten me as to what is holding Oyster back?

Oyster is not holding back there is testnet A going on which can be considered first round of testing and next round which is final is coming in February. Literally you don't have to wait very long as fully functional platform on mainnet is planned for April to be launched. They are working actively and releasing updates timely as well. This airdrop tokens are going to be like dividends for general understanding.

yesterday the price was cheaper. But in the end it doesn't matter what price prl will have today. The workibg products in after April will lead the direction

i have a gut feeling that kucoin will most likely support the airdrop.. (in the past they were supporting alot of airdrops) but lets wait until the official announcment comes..  now its time to fill your bags brimful with pearls.. Comrade, I would not advise you or anyone else to keep coins during snapshots for airdrops on exchanges. Even if it is officially announced that the exchange supports a snapshot. Remember the situation with Bitcoin Cash. Some exchanges (Poloniex) issued it only a few weeks after the main distribution. |

I won't send my PRLs on an exchange for a Snapshot...too risky Do you mean that the only way to get the airdrop would be to send it to one exchange (kucoin)? That would really be bizarre. And a bit dangerous, since for a while all existing pearls would be centralized at Kucoin.

No, you don't need to send PRL to an exchange. You can just keep your PRL's in MEW its fine. Oyster Shell (SHL) will automatically appear in your wallet ex. MyEtherWallet after Airdrop. Any wallet with Private Keys is OK, but you must have private keys. |

Why would you even think about doing that? If you have PRL in your own wallet and you don't intend to trade them, then keep them safe |

a webnode is just you visiting a website and possibly get access on the site to content while you earn pearls for the website owner. hook nodes and broker nodes seems like more traditional proof of work that requires computer power.

What do you mean? Hook nodes are the same as IOTA nodes atm. You could even set up an IOTA node now - Automyr has a script ready which turns IOTA nodes into hook nodes, ones they are avaiable for public.

That would be the hook nodes? If it is proof of work it seems like you would really need a mining farm to make it viable?

Ive got a questoon for the team. Since oyster will be the underpinning of the shell ecosystem how will the user go about interracting with the dapps. Specifically will there be a sort of dappstore? I also imagine that there will be a fiat to shl gateway too right? Also who will vett the apps i imagine also that will be decentralized too and if so could there be a way for people to earn prl or shl by doing so? Say a certain approval rating is needed for it to stay on the store.

I want to contribute something to every website owner in some way since they are doing work and have to pay bills too. I rather watch a cleaner site than a website with ads on it. My adblocker will still block the ads, but it won't block my Oyster.

oyster was a great project on the old website. the new website is garbage. they had a good team in begin, i dont know if they still have one. replacing banner ads is what already happen 20 years ago.......... thats their main message on their new website.. they want to replace banner ads. i ask is there nobody with common sense in the PRL team??..... its a shitcoin now. they had a great coin when they wanted to revolutionize things, now they are stuck without a vision.
guess they got fat and lazy and the owner is pulling millions out
